A bewildering story

You, who liked to run in the mazes
Left my hand, I stood bewildered
You stepped in the labyrinth and never turned back
Never gave a glimpse of yours
You were lost, utterly lost
Leaving all your past behind
Leaving me behind
I tried looking for you in your poems
I tried to find you in the books you loved
I looked for you everywhere I could
But you were nowhere and yet everywhere
You never came around as if
You were strangled in the thread of the fate
Tying the knots yourself
Building a nest for yourself
Did you hate me that much?
That you like the dark curtains of your lonely room better
With no warmness beside you
You are nowhere to be found
Ever since I held your hand
I once liked to believe that you died
But let's be practical
You are you
You don't die
You live like a foolish immortal
You're still the one who left me bewildered
When I stole a glance of yours
It's like you got lost in the dark clouds
They threatened you so much
They want you away from me
My belief make the reality bearable
Maybe you too miss me sometimes
Mazes are indeed beautiful and enthralling
Maybe you wanted to hold my hand too
Life has become bitter ever since you left
You left my hand, I stood bewildered
And you got lost in the sea
Never came back
I stood by the shore, waiting patiently
I just heard the message
That you really died
