Today is Friday. Me and Carla had agreed to hang out at my place after school. I haven't told her why exactly I wanted us to hang out but she never questioned me about it. The bell rang and we were off to our lockers to pick up some things and go home finally. I didn't have to wait for her since she didn't have the last lesson and had to be the one waiting for me. My driver driven us to my home. Once there we removed our coats and shoes. Visited the kitchen, both of us were starving. Thankfully the chef was there and made us a delicious lunch.
If you would like to know if my parents came back home. They did, I didn't say anything, neither did they, I might say they even were looking suspicious, like not looking the same way towards each other. Something happened and bad, they haven't told me still. We all act as if that day never happened. I will have to discuss this also with Carla. You might be wondering why I trust Carla a lot. Its because we've been friends for many years, since we were kids I would say. The other two friends had joined us later in life.
"You are lucky to have your food be cooked by professionals."
"Nah. They are good but its just different then mom cooks something."
"True."
We ate and then walked to my room. Carla flopped on the bed and wait straight to the point.
"What did you want to talk about?"
"Why you think I wanted to talk to you about something? What if I wanted to just hang out with my bestie?"
"I know you and you have things you want some sort of answers to."
"You caught me."
I began to tell her first about me and Hunter. She had a massive open smile on her face and shocked eyes. Its was hard to talk, I did start rambling at one point about him. She had to stop me because she couldn't understand me anymore.
"Alright, alright. Stop... I see."
We slowly talked everything through. In the end she still had a smile on her face.
"What?"
"You have a crush on him."
"No, I do not."
"You have to see yourself while talking about him. You look like such a girl who definitely has a crush on someone."
"I hate him."
"You did but this shows that your little hang out changed something in you. I may dare say he likes you too. Hence the nickname "princess" he always uses for you."
"That can't be true."
We chatted more about boys, me about Hunter, I hated her how true it is now that I notice it myself. I have a crush on Hunter Quinn! Then we shifted the conversation onto what happened that day with my parents and afterwards. I know that I dumbed a lot on her but she is used to this by now, I can get confused a lot and need some kind of pin pointer to figure what is what.
"I think your parents fought. Maybe even more scandalous thing could have happened." Carla commented.
"I think so too. What if one of them cheated?"
"That would make sense."
"If so, then what?"
"Perhaps divorce?"
I was speechless, I couldn't imagine such life. But if it is all true then how, why? It seems that both of my parents are keeping some things a secret, I don't know how long it would go on for.
"I-I really hope not."
Then Carla suggested to watch a movie, to distract us both. It was our both favorite one since childhood. We cozied up in my bed with all the blankets. Even after watching it many times we still tend to tear up at the end of it. Today was no different.
