It was the last lesson of the day, economics. Thankfully we just had to watch a video almost the entire lesson. The bell rang and I walked out of the classroom and marched towards my locker to get a few things and put on my coat. Then just got out fo the building and to the parking lot to find my car and go home. Its been a few days since Monday and Carla was correct about Hunter only showing up to classes we both share.
Finally I got home. But was surprised to see my mom's car parked by the house. Weird, doesn't she have work today? I walked inside and was met with my mom cooking in the kitchen.
"Hey."
"Hello, dear."
"Why you home early?"
"I can't do that?"
"I wasn't expecting this."
"Well... your father is going to come by some time later to finish the paperwork and the divorce will be final."
"Wait. Really? This soon?"
"Yes."
I walked to my room and changed from the school uniform to something more comfy. Then I did some homework and managed to do one subject out three subjects that had homework for tomorrow assigned. The time came for me to got and eat lunch that mom made. I was happy to eat something freshly made since most of the time I either have to cook which I am too lazy to do, so then I must eat the leftovers from either breakfast or the day before dinner.
Afterwards I returned to my room to finish up the homework. By the time I was done with it, the front door's bell was ranged. By the voices I could tell that dad was here. I debated between going to check and not to do so. In the end I did go and see what they were doing. And truly in my mom's office, they were seemingly signing some papers.
"Its done, it think." Dad spoke. Mother nodded. That is when dad noticed me peaking through the door.
"The paperwork is done."
"I noticed." I commented.
Dad then left the house. Mom packed up the papers and made them be sent out tomorrow morning. Both are now fully free to be with anyone and even marry if they want. Would be way to quickly but they can. I don't know about dad and me. I have asked some people and the answer is always that I have to figure what to do. That is why I am asking in the first place. But after the dinner I doubt that I should and will continue to talk with my dad that often, Susan has very likely from the moment the news were told, she knew her answer and would not talk or face my dad in the future.
I had gone back to my room. Thinking of the years where my parents were together made me remember Hunter. I am so stupid. He likely didn't even cheat and I overreacted. And I miss him a lot. I need talk with someone about this but the closest person I have currently is my mom. She doesn't know. Maybe she won't react badly like I did. So I quietly walked into her office.
"Mom, I need to talk with you about something."
"Ok, dear. I am listening."
"Remember the fact that I have a boyfriend?" She nodded.
"Well lets just say I was at the party on New Years and I saw him almost or kissing another girl, can't remember but I put our relationship into a break and I feel stupid since I didn't allow him to explain."
"Why do you need me when you already have an answer."
"What?"
"You didn't allow him to explain."
"I know and I am scared he wouldn't want me back."
"It seems he allowed this the break to happen and given you space I presume, if he truly likes you, he will want to work out your relationship. If that is what you want yourself."
