☆Chapter 6☆

I just arrived at work at my usual time but surprisingly Ashley and Ana are here before me.

"Good morning guys" I say.
"Good morning Ali" Ana says.
"Good morning dear, how are you today?"  Ashley asks."I'm good and yourself?"
"I'm good dear" she replies with a smile and hands me a plate with a croissant and a muffin with a cup of coffee.

"This is too much. I won't be able to finish everything". "That's OK, just eat as much as you can, I know you didn't eat anything yesterday."

I start eating the food but I can only get through half of the croissant before I feel like I'm gonna puke so I put the rest of the food aside and Ashley and Ana are giving me a questioning look.

"If I eat anymore, I swear I'm gonna puke", "But you didn't even eat that much," Ana says. "I know, I just don't feel great", "It's probably because you didn't watch anything yesterday," Ashley says and Ana nods in agreement. "I'll finish it later," I say and they nod.

I put on my mask once we opened up the cafe while waiting for people to start coming in as Ana approaches me. "Where is he, Ali?" She asks talking about her 'true love' as she likes to call him and I giggle. "If he doesn't come today, then I'll stop thinking about him", "Sure" I say while rolling my eyes and she laughs.

It's been 2 hours since we opened up and it's quite busy but it's not that busy. I'm sitting by the cash register, reading a book Ana said I should read when I hear the door jingle.

I don't look up immediately but when I do, I see the 4 people from like 3 or 4 weeks ago. The three boys and the girl.

Gosh, the girl's so pretty. If I looked like her I would never wear a mask. If I looked like Ana I would also never wear a mask.

"Hello, welcome to The Andersons Cafe, How may I help you?"

One of the guys comes up and he orders a few pastries with 4 venti coffee.

"Can I get names for those coffees please?"
"Matteo," says the one who's ordering.
"Angelo," says the one my best friend's in love with.
"Lorenzo," says the 3rd one.
"Isabella." says the girl.
"Thank you," I say

They start walking toward a table at the back when the one I remember as Angelo comes to me.

"Hey, um, do you know where the other lady with long hair, and brown eyes is"
I already knew he was talking about Ana.
"Yeah, um, she should be in the back"
"Okay, well, when you're bringing our stuff out, can you come with her but don't make it seem like I asked"
Wow, that was a bold move.

"Yeah, sure"
"Alright, thanks"

After he left to join his group of friends, I went to the back to find Ana.

"Hey, Ana, could you please come help me with this order, they ordered a lot of stuff?"

"Sure," she says smiling.

We head to the front waiting for their order to be prepared and once it is, we walk toward their table, I hear Ana whisper.

"Oh my gosh," she says, and I chuckle.
We go to their table and put their food down and Ana's trying to keep in her smile.

I look up and I see Ana and Angelo looking at each other and I smile.

We leave and she starts fangirling over him while I laugh.

"He's coming, he's coming!" Ana whisper shouts and she clears her throat.

"Hi, how can I help you?" She asks, sounding like she wasn't here 2 minutes ago talking about how handsome he is.

"Hey, can I please get another venti latte"
"Yeah, sure, coming right up" she answers. And they stand there for like 30 seconds, just staring at each other until I call her and his friends call him then he walks back to his table and she walks towards me.

"Wow, Ana, way to be subtle," I say giggling.

As were talking, one of the guys whom I remember as Matteo comes up to the counter and Ana pushes me and I huff.

"Hi, how can I help you?" I ask
"Hey, can I please get another iced coffee"
"Yeah, sure, coming right up," I say
"All right, thanks," he says and we stand there for like 30 seconds staring at each other as well until Ana calls me and his friends call him so he walks back to his table and I walk back to Ana who's laughing.

"Looks like somebody's in love," she says.
"I am not in love," I say.
"Sure, just try it," she says. "No, I can't" I reply. "Oh come on, Ali just try it. Don't let the fact that it didn't work out with Adam ruin this for you. I have a good feeling about this. Bestie telepathy." She says and I laugh.

He's not interested in me, I know it. How could someone like him like someone like me.
