☆Chapter 12☆

"What," I say with absolute shock.
"It-It-It's 10 pm" I stutter.

"Yeah, what's wrong Ali?" Anaya asks.
And I look at everyone to see their confused faces.
"Nothing, I just need to go home," I say while getting the blanket off of me.

"Aaliyah, where are you going?" Matteo asks.
"I'm going home," I say pulling the IV tube out of my arm.
"What do you mean you're going home, you're not well."
"I'm fine and I need to go home. You don't understand I need to go home." I say needing them to understand.
"If you guys don't understand, that's your problem but I need to go," I tell them

I find my stuff and I take my bag and I start walking out.
I hear them walking after and when I exit the hospital, I hear Matteo calling me.

"Yes," I say turning around.
"Let's go, I'll take you home."
"No, it's fine, I'll walk home," I tell him as I turn to continue walking.
"It's not safe, let's go, I'll take you," he says while pulling my back and I know I'm not gonna win, so I just let him take me.

And he doesn't even know that the place I'm going to is the most unsafe place I'll ever be at.

I give him the directions to my house and I tell him to drop me a few blocks down and he insists that he walks me home but I refuse because I know if Jason sees me with him that's gonna be even worse for me.

"Just let him walk you home Ali," Ana says.
"Yeah Aaliyah, it's not safe, anything could happen," Angelo says and I know that they're not gonna listen to me so I just agree.

We exit the car and he starts walking me home.
"Why are we walking so fast Aaliyah?" Matteo asks.
"Because 'it's late and it's dangerous and unsafe'" I say mocking the 3 of them and he chuckles.

When I start seeing the house, I see Jason's car in the driveway. I know I'm fucked.

"It's OK, I can walk from here to my house now. It's just up there. Thank you" I say to him.

"Alright then, I'll see you tomorrow?" He asks.
"Why would you see me tomorrow" I ask confused.
"Because I'm gonna come to the cafe," he says like it's the most obvious thing ever.
"Why would wanna come to the cafe just to see me?" I ask still confused.
"Just because," he says and I giggle and he smiles.

"OK, I really need to go now," I tell him.
"OK then, goodnight Aaliyah," he says.
"Goodnight, Matteo," I say and I lean in to hug him to thank him for everything but still unsure if he wants to hug me.

He hugs me back and this is probably the best hug I've ever gotten. It makes me feel so safe and secure and like nothing can harm me as long as I'm here with him.

"Aaliyah, is that you?" I hear a voice that startles me.
I'm frozen right now and I feel like I can't move. I move away from Matteo and I look up to see Jason and next to him, no one I would ever expect to see...Adam.

I'm so scared right now because I don't know what will happen. My dad walks toward me and I take steps back, but he catches me before I can even take 5 steps back.

He pulls me into his arms and hugs me. I'm completely frozen and I can't even move my arms knowing that the worst is about to happen to me.

"Who's this" he asks.
"He's my friend," I say quickly. " He's my friend and he dropped me home because I had a rush hour at work and I would be coming home late."

I quickly tell him and I look at Mayteo hoping he won't say anything.
He has a confused look on his face but he doesn't say anything.

He puts his hand out and says, "Matteo Moretti, nice to meet you sir" he says.
Jason puts his hand out as well, "Jason Johnson" he says.
"Thank you for bringing my daughter back safely, I was so worried he said like it was the truth.

"My pleasure sir"
"All right, I'm gonna get going, Goodnight everyone," Matteo says looking at me.
"G-Goodnight," I say to him. He starts walking away and Hason grabs my arm and starts pulling me into the house. Once he closes the door, he throws me across the room.

"You want to go out and be a prostitute, huh, you want to be a slut and a whore, fine, I'll show you what we do to those in my house." He says and my face has streams of tears on it and they're still falling.

"Adam, you want to help me with this one?" He asks and I freeze.

"I'd love to," he says and I start backing up as they both approach me.

I knew I was in for it when I got home but I didn't expect it to be as bad as it was.
