Virat : You're pregnant!?
Sai couldn't realise what just happened so she got up and went back to her room. Virat stood there baffled on what just happened a few moments ago. There were disapproving looks from some family members.
Tears automatically just rolled down Sai's eyes as she reached her room. She just told her husband she was pregnant. But this wasn't how she planned on doing so, this wasn't how she wanted it to be. But she had no choice did she?
Virat stood there for a few moments thinking "Sai is pregnant? Why did she not tell me earlier?" "Why would she tell me? Who am I?" Why did he get hurt that he didn't know Sai was pregnant? They barely knew each other right? Then why was it irking him that he didn't know? Just then Ashwini spoke breaking him out of his thoughts.
Ashwini : What did you do Virat? Why did you have to force her?
Virat : I'm sorry Aai..I...I didn't know. I didn't want to push her.
Ashwini : And look what you did. You know she's not extremely comfortable with all this right so do give her some space bada.
Virat : Yeah I understand Aai. But why didn't she tell me she is pregnant?
This just struck Ashwini, she understood it was Virat's subconscious that wanted to be aware of the fact that his wife is pregnant.
Ashwini (coyly) : Why would she tell you Virat? And why would you want to know? It's her personal matter.
Virat just got confused even more. What was going on with him?
Virat : Aai could you please serve Sai's food I'll take it to her room.
Ashwini : It's okay Virat I'll give her food.
Virat : No Aai give it to me I'll take it, I even have to apologise to her so I'll do it.
Ashwini just nodded smiling inwardly.
Sai was on her bed with her eyes closed when she heard someone knock on the door. It was Virat.
Virat : Sai I've got you dinner. May I come in?
Sai : Why have you come here Virat sir?
Virat : To apologise Sai and to give you dinner. May I at least come in?
Sai : Oh..yeah come in.
Virat : I'm so sorry Sai I didn't know. I didn't want to push you.
Sai : It's alright Virat sir.
Virat : Thank you for forgiving me Sai.
Sai : Hmm
Virat : So...you're pregnant...how far along are you?
Sai had already been through a lot of emotional hurt and this was clearly not helping. Virat asking all this wasn't what she needed. Blame her hormones or whatever but she just started crying. Virat couldn't see her cry, his heart just couldn't handle it. He moved closer and wiped her tears.
Virat : I'm sorry Sai I didn't want to make you feel uncomfortable. Please don't cry. I can't see it.
"Why couldn't he see her cry?" Thought Sai.
After a few moments they realised how close they were, Virat moved back.
Virat : I'm sorry Sai.
Sai : No it's okay Virat sir.
Virat gave her a faint smile and was about to walk out when Sai spoke.
Sai : 4 months. I'm 4 months pregnant Virat sir.
This just made Virat smile so wide and he didn't know why. He turned around to look at Sai.
Virat : Wow Sai that's great. You know I love kids.
Sai : Yeah I know.
Virat : How do you know?
Sai : Uhh...I...y...your excitement tells.
Virat : Yeah okay. So what about your husband? Where is he? He should be with you during this right? I mean he is going to become a father.
And that was it. That just broke Sai's heart yet again. What was she supposed to tell her? That her husband and the father of her baby was standing right in front of her asking her where her husband was?
Sai (angrily) : My personal matters are none of your concern and why are you after me? Haven't I been hurt enough, haven't you hurt me enough that now you're asking me all these questions?
"Hasn't he hurt her enough?" Virat couldn't understand what that meant. How has he hurt her? What did Sai mean?
