A distant echo

Y/n's pov

i begin to gear up and grab my bag today was the day we were going to rescue echo if he is actually alive but before i leave i grab my holocom and type in the code and turn it on seeing ahsoka's hologram form "your late again Y/n" she says and i stand up rolling my eyes smiling "yeah only 5 seconds late ahsoka don't blame me just because i was 5 or 3 seconds late i was gearing up we got a mission in Skako Minor we have belief that's where the droid strategy is and..we may have belief that Echo is alive" i say and she becomes shocked "are you sure?" she asks and i nod "the algorithm the live signal it said CT-1409, it even called me my old nickname Firey jedi only echo called me that it's gotta be him" i say and she nods understanding and she looks at me "how have you been though? i mean with everything going on including with me when i left the order" she asks and i look down "it's been a bit rough especially with everything going on even Master Skywalker misses you"  i say and she nods and chuckles "you seem more happier than usual should i be concerned why?" she asks and i chuckle "Tech and his team are here joining us on the mission" i say and she chuckles "i should of known i remember when you first mentioned him to me on Polutia" she says and i chuckle 

"i still remember us getting scolded from Master Skywalker and Master Kenobi just cause we defeated some droids and their gunship on Polutia" i say and we both chuckle and she smiles "you know i can imagine you having a brother or sister i mean you and Hunter act like your brother and sister" she says and i smile "you got that right, i still miss having you around though having a mischief partner and buddy around" i say and she smiles "same here, but no worries i bet we'll run paths again who knows even sooner but best part is we have our comm links and eachother in our hearts" she says and i smile back at her "true anyways i better go before head out their waiting especially with sky guy on comms with padme" i say and we chuckle a bit and i hold my hand out "miss ya fire ball" i say and she does the same "miss ya too sis or should i say smarty" she says and we chuckle again and we end comm link call and i put it in my pocket

i grab my bag and head to the Maurauder where crosshair, Wrecker, Hunter, and Tech are at and i run towards it and hop on the wing and jump off it in a triple front flip and land perfectly catching my bag and standing back up straight "sorry if i was late guys" i say "wow your getting better at the flips" Wrecker says and i smile "you could say that again. but seriously i wasn't late was i?" i ask and hunter chuckles "no your not late your actually on time" he says and i smile "neat so anakin and Rex is the late ones here i actually should of seen that coming" i say and smile walking over to stand next to tech waiting and i smile blushing at tech, finally i see Anakin and Rex come over "bout time, thought you guys were busy with some emotional crying stuff going on" i say chuckling and it makes Anakin smile "you wish, your all ready to go?" he asks and i nod and join them on the maurauder 

i sit in the copilot seat with tech and i help jump to lightspeed and smile at him "man, this feels like back when we went on missions i missed it" i say and he looks at me "affirmative on that it hasn't been the same without you around" he says and i nod "sorry i haven't been around lately, it's been difficult since my friend left, and i wish i could join your team especially to have another smart person to relate to" i say and we both smile and we reach to hold hands but we left hyperspeed and saw Skako Minor  i look back and see Wrecker eating and lifting Gonky up and down with the other with Rex watching, Master Skywalker checking out crosshairs sniper, and hunter looking at scannings and i smile sitting forward again "it's nice to see them getting along finally" i say smiling and looking at tech taking a deep breath cause after that secret crush on him Master Skywalker, Kenobi, yoda, and Windu are letting me confess and have a relationship with him so i turn and look at tech "hey uh tech so...there's been something i've been wanting to tell you" i say and he looks at me 

"what is it Y/n? surely whatever it is i'm sure i can manage it" he says and i smile "well it's more of a confession and i've been wanting to tell you this for a while or so now but truth is, i li-" i suddenly get interrupted by the ship shaking a bit "what was that?" i ask and he looks at it "we are approaching Skako Minor and it looks t be a difficult landing" he says and everyone sits down i try to grab my bag behind me to grab my protection helmet but i end up falling off the Copilot seat and tech looks at me worried so he grabs my hand and pulls me over to him and gently sits me on his lap head on his chest to protect me as Wrecker sits in copilot seat and tech continues flying the ship i see the cloudy sky of skako minor and worry a bit hearing a beeping from the crash landing system so we end up landing safely and Tech looks at me "are you alright darling?" he asks and i blush
