Message: take the smut 😍

The sound of an alarm woke you from your sleep along with your shoulder being shaken. The first thing you felt as you slowly opened your eyes was a sharp, throbbing pain in your lower back. That's what you get for trying to sleep in a plastic chair.

"It's 6am, the shift is over." William commented as you rubbed the sleep from your eyes, "Congratulations, you survived the night."

"Barely" You yawned as if you'd just put a shit ton of work in as opposed to making out with your serial killer boss and then taking a nap. What a day.

You glanced over at him, unsure of what to say. You felt awkward, like really awkward. William, on the other hand, looked as neutral as ever as he stood up, offering you his hand to help you up. You took it.

There was awkward silence between the two of you, but you were probably the only one feeling it. William just turned and opened the door to the security office and walked down the hallway.

"You missed a real show last night." He commented as you trailed behind him, "They were especially lively last night. It's almost like they can tell when I'm around." He chuckled slightly, which made you frown in response.

"I just don't understand howthey do that. Like that doesn't make any sense." You responded as you looked around the main party room as the two of you walked into it. The animatronics were back in their places, looking as lifeless as ever. A few chairs in the party room were tipped over onto the floor as if they had been knocked down.

"I've been studying it for a while." William moved forward to put the chairs back in their places, "But the thing I find most interesting is that they seem to be themselves, but in a more warped and corrupted way after being trapped for so long. Forever in agony. They're vengeful souls." He chuckled slightly as if that was the most amusing thing in the world, whereas you felt slightly sickened.

"So they hate people? They want revenge?" You questioned as your eyes moved up to the animatronics, their filthy states furthered their haunted nature. You hated looking at them, all you could think about were the bodies inside.

"Something like that." William shrugged as he moved to stand by you again, "But isn't it fascinating? That form of eternal life. Living forever without the worry of what lies beyond the grave. No punishment, no damnation."

You gave him a puzzled look, "I'm pretty sure that being stuck in those shitty suits would be punishment enough."

He didn't respond, his eyes simply fixated on the animatronics. You could never get a read on him. The only person who could see into his mind was him and that was something that made him all the more terrifying.

"Well..." You started awkwardly, "I'm gonna head off now... I'll see you around."

William nodded, his eyes flicking between you and the animatronics as if he was calculating something in his head, "Yes, I'll see tomorrow."

You swiftly spun around and walked out of the restaurant. You were thinking about a range of things. Last night, that kiss was weird but also... nice? Yet at the same time you couldn't help but feel guilt, knowing that he had hurt innocent children and yet you still felt some form of twisted attachment to him. It was all so complicated and you hated yourself for it. Then again, you'd hurt someone as-well so were you even allowed to have a moral high ground? This was too much to think about at 6am.

Fucking around on your shift had gotten to a new level. The day after your night shift was beyond boring, the lack of customers led you to hiding out in the storage room. A few days prior you had actually found a loose tile in the room and when lifted up led to an empty hole in the ground. No wonder this place was falling apart, even the building's structure was lazy and unfinished.
