September 5th - Baltimore, Maryland

Today's just a chill day for me, Netflix and enjoying Luna and Aphrodite's company. Luna is my three-year-old Skye Terrier and Aphrodite is my two-year-old Pembroke Welsh Corgi. I named Luna because her fur's so black that it has a purple undertone and I named Aphrodite because she's all white except for a patch of light greyish-brown around her right eye. I didn't want to name her Venus because that's a bit basic to me, so I went with Aphrodite. Both of them I adopted from an animal shelter. It was hard to pick between all of those super adorable dogs but after, I swear, two hours of petting and playing with a lot of them, I picked Aphrodite and Luna. I wanted to adopt one more but my mom told me that it isn't a good idea and to wait until they're a bit older and easier to handle so they'll be more welcome to another dog.

Right when I'm about to press play on the movie I chose, there's a knock on the door. I move Aphrodite off my lap and look through the peephole to see Alex standing there looking impatient. I open it, "What's up?" "The producer called me, the song's done." He's so excited that he can't stand still. "After only four days?" I ask. "Yeah. He told me that you're working on your new album with him and that he would like for me to fly out to LA with you next time." He says. "Yeah, sure. Francisco, Brianna, Justin and I are all going on the eighth and staying there till October twentieth. My mom's driving me to the airport so I'm meeting everyone there. I can have her pick you up on the way if you want." I lean against the door frame. "Sounds like a plan, Stan." He attempts to joke and I just roll my eyes. "So what are you doing?" He asks. "Watching Netflix." I chuckle. "Can I join you?" He gives me puppy dog eyes. "Fine. But no fucking with me during it because I'm serious about watching movies." I warn. "Geez, yes ma'am." He says sarcastically.

September 8th - On The Plane To Los Angeles

"Did you bring your notes this time?" I ask Cisco. Last time we flew to LA, he forgot all his guitar notes and we couldn't record his part because of it. "I did, surprisingly." He nods. Since we booked our tickets way before Alex did, he has to sit next to Justin which is behind me. He seems to be a bit jealous because I'm next to Cisco and not him.

After take off, he starts to kick the back of my seat. I turn around and take out an earbud, "What?" "Can't you just switch seats with Justin?" He asks. "You should've thought of that before. It's too late now." I say. "Come on." He whines. "Alex, the flight's almost six hours, you'll be fine." I chuckle.

6 And A Half Hours Later - Holiday Inn Express In Van Nuys, Los Angeles

"We don't have to be to Hopeless until tomorrow so you know what that means." I grin and Justin sighs, "Swimming." "Yes! I'll meet you down there." I run back to my room to get dressed. Everytime we go somewhere with a pool and have time to spare, I go swimming and make them come along with me.

I grab my retro rose looking bikini with a skirted bottom but take a look at my stomach in the mirror. Fresh and old scars remain on my skin. I remember why I did it on my stomach and not on my wrist or legs. I wear lots of short sleeved shirts and I do enjoy wearing shorts or skirts sometimes. My stomach is something I always cover up. Thankfully Alex hasn't seen them yet. Last time we slept together was the night we got back from tour and the room was dark at the time. I obviously got dressed before he woke up to make sure he didn't see anything.

Since I haven't ate anything today, I decide to weigh myself. Which isn't a good thing when it comes to me. The average weight for a girl that's 5'3 is 115 lbs. I weighed myself last month and I was 99 lbs, now I'm 103 lbs. No way would I wear a bikini. I'm disgusting with my scars and weight gain. Instead I throw on a black one-piece swimsuit with slits in the side and head to the pool.

"Thank God no one's here." I say to Justin, Cisco and Brianna. "Where's Alex?" "Sorry guys, it took me awhile to find the pool." Alex walks through the doors. "We were just about to get started without you." I set my phone on the table where Cisco put his stuff. "Who wants to play Marco Polo?" I ask, knowing that no one could deny that game. "Me!" Brianna jumps up and down with her hand in the air. "I'm in." Justin chuckles. "Me too." Cisco adds. "Not it!" Everyone puts a finger on their nose except Alex, who looks confused. "Looks like you're Marco." I laugh and he groans.

After we all got our fill of Marco Polo, we went back to our rooms to take showers. It was really fun, like always. Cisco doesn't know Alex and I are together, nor does Bri and Justin. So when Alex totally forgot and went to kiss me, I had to walk away before anything happened even though I didn't want to.

I get dressed in an oversized red and black plaid shirt with black tights and dark brown oxford heels. I don't bother putting on much makeup and just do a bit of mascara. My hair is curled and bobby pinned to one side. We all decided to meet up in Cisco's room, which is a couple doors down from mine. "Hey, we took the liberty to order your favorite food. Pizza!" Cisco smiles. The mere sight and smell of food right now nauseates me. "I'm not hungry but thanks." I mumble and cast my eyes to the floor. No one knows what's wrong with me and that's how I always want it to be. I can feel everyone look at me and they all probably are confused. "Are you feeling okay?" Bri asks. "I'm fine." I shrug. "No you're not. You don't ever turn down pizza." Justin says. "It's true what he's saying, Em." Cisco sounds worried. "I'm just not hungry, okay?" I turn around and go back to my room.

I go into my suitcase and dig out a pack of unopened shaving razors. Walking into the bathroom, I violently throw it at the sink to break it. Usually I at least eat a little, but since I figured out that I gained weight, it's making me feel completely disgusting.

Why is Alex even with me? Do you have any idea how many good looking girls want to be with him? He could do so much better than me, and Cisco, Bri and Justin can all do much better without me in their life. So why do I still stay?

"Emerald, what are you doing?" A voice that is undoubtly Alex's says.

I pull my shirt down and quickly wipe the razor with toilet paper then turn around. "Trying to fix this razor. I was really mad and broke it." I make up a bad excuse. Thankfully I wasn't in the mirror at the time. He looks at me with a weird face, "You can't fix a broken razor." "Dammit. Thank God I have more." I fake chuckle and throw it out. "Even if you didn't, I'm sure Brianna can lend you some." He obviously isn't buying it but doesn't question me. "Yeah. I'm sure she would too." I say. "Uh, tell Cisco I'm sorry about what I did. I'll be there in a minute." "Sure." He forces a smile and leaves.

I patch myself up and go back to Cisco's room.
