We got up pretty early to catch a taxi to Culver City. It'll take twenty-eight minutes to get there and since the taxi can only fit a maximum of three people in it, we got two of them. Alex in the front seat and Justin and I in the back of one. The other is Cisco and Bri in the back seat. I spend my spare time listening to My Chemical Romance and Blink while sketching some things. Since we started recording our new album, I haven't had much time to draw and paint. I know the bumps in the road will be a huge problem but at least I'm trying.

When we pull up to Fearless Records, I see Rian, Zack and Jack waiting there. I stuff my sketchbook, pencil, and phone in my drawstring backpack then sling it around my shoulders. "Emmy!" Jack yells and runs to me, pulling me into a hug. "Hey, Jack." I chuckle. Emmy is a nickname only Jack is allowed to call me. "Baltimore isn't the same without you." He says. "I'm sure it's a lot better." I joke and he gently slaps my arm, "No. It's horrible."

"Sure." I say with a hint of sarcasm in my voice.

When we all got into the lobby of Fearless, they took Alex, Jack, Rian and Zack into a different room while we went to another.

"Hello, my name is Sarah, I'm your producer." She smiles. "Emerald." I return the smile and shake her outstretched hand. Bri, Cisco and Justin also introduce themselves. "Today is just going to be a brainstorming day. I'm thinking tomorrow you come back and hopefully we can start recording." She sits down and swivels her chair to face us. "Yeah, definitely. We don't have to be back to Hopeless till after tomorrow." I nod. "Alright, perfect. We're making an album titled 'Punk Goes Crunk'. What it means is that we have a handful of bands come and cover hip-hop songs with their own twist. Have you guys thought about any songs you would like to cover?" She asks. I shake my head and she smiles again, "That's okay. I have some here to choose from. Of course, you don't have to choose from just these."

She hands me a piece of paper with multiple hip-hop songs on it. My eyes instantly go to "Gin and Juice" by Snoop Dogg. "I think we should do Snoop Dogg's song." I hand it to Justin to look at. "My mom used to listen to him in the car all the time when I was just a little girl." I smile remembering old times. This was way before everything with my dad. "Yeah, I think it'll be fun." Cisco says then Justin and Bri nod in agreement. "Then it's settled. That was easier than I thought." Sarah laughs. "This means we can start planning on what to change and add in the song."

(A/N: I know Punk Goes Crunk came out in 2008 but lets just imagine if it came out in 2009 haha. Gin and Juice was originally covered by Hot Rod Circuit.)

September 15th

Today's my birthday and right now we're celebrating in a bar named "Carlitos Way Inc". I asked Alex to invite all of Pierce The Veil and they actually came. Alex hasn't asked anymore about the bandages he saw, which is a relief. So I plan on having a good birthday.

All of the sudden someone bumps into me. I look up at the six foot one man with shoulder length black hair. He's wearing a black t-shirt, black skinny jeans, and some beaten all black Converse. His dark brown eyes are rimmed with black eyeliner and both his arms are covered with tattoos. I don't know why, but I'm kind of attracted to him. "I'm sorry. I didn't mean to bump into you." He turns around. "It's okay." I smile. He looks at me for a minute before holding a hand out, "I'm Ronnie." "Emerald." I shake it. "I've heard of you. You're the lead singer for Kill This Chorus, right?" He asks and I nod. "Cool. Mind if I buy you a drink?" He says. "Not at all." I respond and follow him to the bar.

"What would you like?"

"Bacardi 151 straight-up."

He looks at me in disbelief for a moment then turns to the bartender. "Two Bacardi 151's, please." The bartender nods and goes to get our drinks. "Thanks." I say to Ronnie and sit on a bar stool. "No problem. So tell me, what's a pretty girl like you doing in a bar like this?" He takes a seat next to me. "It's my birthday. I came with a bunch of friends but I don't know where they all went." I chuckle. "Happy birthday. How old are you?" He smiles. "Twenty-one. You?" I ask. "Twenty-six." He sighs. "Really? You look a lot younger." My eyes go wide in surprise. "Why thank you." He laughs. "Two Bacardi's." The bartender says when he sets our drinks on the counter. "Thank you." Ronnie and I say in unison. "Hey Em, who's this?" Justin places a hand on my shoulder. "A friend I just made. Ronnie this is one of my friends that abandoned me, Justin." I introduce them.

"You're Ronnie Radke." Justin's lips form into a huge smile. "You're in Escape The Fate."

Ronnie's face drops, "I was in Escape The Fate." "Oh, sorry. I don't really keep up with that stuff." Justin says. "That's fine." The smile Ronnie had before comes back. "It was really nice meeting you but I gotta go find Alex. I guess he's really drunk." Justin sighs. "Seriously?" I groan and down the rest of my drink. "Here." I take a pen out of my purse and write my number on a napkin then hand it to Ronnie. "Text me sometime?" "Of course I will." He chuckles. I say goodbye and join Justin in his quest to find Alex.

After five minutes of searching, we find him with Jack, Rian, Vic, Tony and Cisco. "Alex, I think you should stop drinking now." I tap him and he turns around, almost falling down. "Emerald! Who was that guy?" He pouts unecessarily. "A friend. Seriously, stop drinking." I hold onto his shoulders to stablize him. He leans closer, "If you just met him tonight, you can't consider him a friend. Are you sleeping with him?" He asks. "What? No." I shake my head. "Did you tell him about the bandages on your stomach?" When he says that, everyone he's with looks at me. "What bandages?" I play dumb. "These." He grabs my shirt and lifts it up a bit. "What the fuck, Alex?!" I yell and pull it back down. "You say you're not sleeping with that guy but you're probably whoring around with Justin, right?" He starts to get mad for no reason. "We're suppose to be in a relationship! How can you do this to me? Groves the Ho, I was right to make that name for you."

"You made that name up?" My voice cracks. "Yeah, obviously. And I was right, you are a ho." He laughs. Before I know it, the palm of my hand collides with his cheek. There's a loud crack and a pain go throughout my hand from hitting him so hard. My palm is bright red, the same red mark that matches the one on his cheek. I turn around and leave with tears starting to well up in my eyes. I feel absolutely no remorse for slapping him that hard, he deserves it. I figured he was the same Alex from high school, but once again, I went with my heart instead of my brain. Now that he's shown his true colors, there's no more chances for him. So much for having a good birthday.

-- I do know that Ronnie was in jail during 2009 but lets just say he wasn't xD --
