Sebastian knew the farmer had a crush on him the day she moved in. He could see it in her eyes when they had their first conversation. She would follow him around town, talk to him whenever she saw him, and give him random food and rocks that she had found.Unfortunately for her, she had decided to crush on one of the gayest people in town.
After a very odd day of being borderline stalked by the new girl in town, Sebastian invited one of his best friends over. Sam.
They didn't plan to do much, just talk and get stoned in Sebastian's room. But, after a while, things started to take a turn.
It started small. Sam would brush Sebastian's hair out of his eyes, and Sebastian would pull Sam's hoodie down whenever it started to ride up, normal things that they did all the time. Then it escalated to Sam touching Sebastian's thigh, and Sebastian placing his hands on Sam's chest...
Then, Sebastian somehow ended up in Sam's lap. They were both loopy and high as shit, so Sebastian didn't think too much of it until Sam kissed him. Then everything felt very real.
So that brings us here. Sam, Sebastian, and Abby were all sitting in the saloon one evening playing pool as always.
"Sam you have to stop holding the stick like that." Sebastian critiqued over his shoulder. Sam scoffed. "I'll hold it however I please." He smirked. Sebastian rolled his eyes. They heard the door jingle and looked over.
It was the farmer.
Sebastian sighed. It was like she had his entire schedule memorized or something because every day, without fail, she would come into the saloon whenever he and his friends were trying to relax.
She quickly spotted them and came right on over. "Hey Sebby!" She smiled. Sebastian cringed internally. The only people who he ever let call him Sebby were his family, Sam, and Abby. But still, he put on a slight smile to hide his discomfort.
"Oh hey... Farmer. Didn't see you there." He lied. Why did she keep following him? He didn't even know her name!
Abby and Sam both turned their attention to the farmer. She didn't even bother to greet them too, only Sebastian. "Hi! So, what are you doing here?" The farmer asked. That question was very much directed at Sebastian.
"Oh, we're just playing pool together." Sebastian shrugged. "Nothing that interesting. Just what we always do."
The farmer nodded. "Oh cool! Also, I have a gift for you, Sebby~" Sebastian did not like the weird flirty tone with which she said that. "Really? What is it?" He asked.
The farmer rifled through her pockets before pulling out a Nautilus Shell and handing it to Sebastian. "Here! I found it!" She grinned. Sebastian didn't know how to respond, but he nodded politely. "Oh, thanks, man." He said. The farmer smiled.
"Yeah! Ok before I go, I have a little question for you." Oh no.
"Do you... have a girlfriend" Oh no.
Sebastian faltered. He glanced over at Sam, who looked terrified, so he took that as a hint.
"Oh, uh, no. I don't." Technically, it wasn't a lie. He did not have a girlfriend because he wasn't interested in girls. Of course, he could never tell her that last part.
"Ok! I'll keep that in mind. Bye, Sebby!" And with that, finally, she was gone.
The group all sighed with relief.
"Seb, you need to tell that girl that you aren't interested. I assume that you don't even know her name because you just call her 'Farmer'. She's going to keep thinking that you guys have a chance together unless you either drop the most nuclear bomb hints at her, or you need to just go up to her and say that you aren't interested." Abby explained. Sebastian sighed and rubbed his temples.
"I know, but... ok so that seems simple for you, but I just can't. I don't like her, but I can't just stroll up to her and say that I don't like her the same way she likes me. It's awkward." He didn't know how he could just waltz up and break that girl's heart.
Guess he'll just have to find another way to get the farmer to let him be...
