Just another day at school.

I get up, eat, study, and sleep. Same cycle everyday.

Let's get to know me.
Hi, my name is Rosalinda but Rosie for short. I'm 21 currently and I'm a student at USD majoring in International Relations and under an academics scholarship. Oh and did i mention ? my life sucks.

As I'm walking to my Comparative Politics 10am class, my headphones immediately get taken off from my head without warning.

"hey I've been trying to get your attention, did you hear ? the angels are coming to help train the baseball team! which who is on the team ? me! come and see me at practice!" Alex said (short for Alejandro)

"Alejandro, no puedo. Necesitar estudiar. you forget." I replied.

"academic scholarship" we said in unison.

"I know I know but come on, it'll be fun! you haven't been out since you know happened." He said

"Stop reminding me. I know, it's gonna take time and stop walking backwards. you're gonna fall!" I said

I snatched my headphones from his hands and put them back on. I needed music or else the silence was gonna drive me crazy.

"Fine but just come. I'll buy you snacks and energy drinks. Even better, I'll pull a all nighter with you." He said.

"okay fine I'll go. just text me the details." I said

I headed into class and went to class to another class till I felt burnt out and needed a much needed nap after. So I walk back to the dorms, unlock the door, and plop on my bed. Not remembering what time I got in.

Biggest mistake ever.

3-4 hours later..

I get woken up to my phone ringing a zillion times and see it's from Alex. I grab my phone and answer.

"PENDAJA DID YOU OVERSLEEP BECAUSE I SWEAR TO GOD-" He yells over the phone.

"Fuck alex, calm down no. I took a nap. oh shit." I said, realizing I fucked up.

"Yea rosie but you have 25 minutes to get down here if you want that alani of yours. I would hurry if I were you." He said

"Fine wait for me. are they there yet?" I said

As I asked the question, I was changing into comfortable clothes as in a gray nike hoodie with gray sweats.

"They've been here. But I stayed back because of you. They're training the rest of the team. hurry!"

and he hangs up.

I grab my white air forces along with my backpack because of my all nighter I'm pulling after he is done with practice.

I head out the door and walk to the baseball field.

When I get there, I see Alex. Tall, Black hair. Dimples and Brown eyes. Along with his circle glasses.

"there you are! come on lets go! and here! your alani." he says then hands me the energy drink.

When we walk into the clubhouse, I crack it open and push my glasses up and walk to Alex's spot. I drop my stuff where his is and walk to the field with him.

"You're gonna watch this time. I need the criticism on my batting." He said

He walks me over to the mound and starts doing practice hits until he reached the ones that mattered.

"You could do better. Just saying." I shrugged as I took a sip of my drink.

"Oh really? I'll like to see you try." He says then snatches my drink.

"HEY THAT WAS MINE." I said

I start reaching for it like my life depended on it until he gave it back when he finished taking a sip.

"cállate. yo comprè mas." he said.

"I know! but that wasn't funny." I sighed.

"come on, I wanna you meet the team. Not mine because they practically know you. the other one. They're waiting on others so they can give us a schedule." He says.

I walk next to him and joined him in arms. I let out a yawn and he ends up yawning longer.

"copycat." I said

"oh shut it. you yawned first." He argued.

We walk back into the clubhouse and that's when I saw him.

We make eye contact for a second then I look away. So embarrassing.

I walk to Alex's spot and sit in his chair which leaves him standing next to me. To avoid awkwardness, I grab my headphones and iPad. I start studying my notes until once again, my headphones are snatched from my head.

"dude when will you stop doing that ? it's starting to get annoying." I said

"When you realize the silence is good for you. Also, sit straight. Your hutch-back is showing." he said.

He did have a point. My back is starting to hurt. So I listen and straighten my back.

"Better." He said

Alejandro's POV

After they start the speech and how our teamwork can improve, they start handing out schedules for each teammate. Due to us being a little smaller than them, we got assigned a teammate from the Angels.

When I got handed mine, I saw I got assigned to #17 Shohei Ohtani for batting and pitching improvement.

Oh now I have to get rosie to come with me to practices now.

I look at rosie, so focused on studying. She lets out the cutest yawn ever and how her dimples pop out when she takes a sip of her alani as her happy gesture.

Okay fine. I'm gonna admit it. I like her. More than enough. Which is why I'm always with her to make sure nothing happens then I wouldn't forgive myself.

I realize I was looking at her too long when she looks up and looks confused.

"I'm gonna head to the library. Start getting ahead on Calc. I'll meet you there." She said

"Ok rosie" I replied.

She gathers her stuff and grabs the bag of snacks including energy drinks I got us for our studying session. She grabs and leaves me a redbull for when I get done here.

Then she leaves. But, I catch Ohtani stealing a glimpse of her.

I sit in my chair and just pretend I'm unbothered by it.

Rosie's POV

Once I get to the library, I get my things together and open a bag of hot cheetos. I grab one of the big white boards they have and take out the homework problems.

But if you wondering, I know alex likes me. He's not subtle about it enough than he should be. it's obvious time to time.

But I know that guy stole another glance once I walked out. But I don't know what makes me so interesting.

HIII so first chapter done! In all seriousness, this was sort of a big accomplishment of mine as I've been having such writers block ever since I had ended Junior Year. I'm currently a Senior and man am i scared 😭 But it's okay!!! At least I thought of a new story to add!! anyway love yaa - M <3
