I slightly grin and open my scroll. I call my mom and she answers immediately. "Hey mom!" I say.

"What's up sweetheart?" Mom replies.

"I'm going to the twins house today, so I'm just telling you, I'll be back later tonight, love you!" I say, my voice gleeful.

"Ok Y/n, Oh! you're at your dad's this weekend!" My mom replied.

"Kk mom, bye!" I say.

"Mm-bye bye." She says, I swear all moms say bye like that.

I sigh and look down at P/n rubbing up against my leg. I pet him then hold him hamburger style. "P/n baby!" I say, holding my palismen. "We're going on a bit of a long ride, ok" I babble.

He squawks in response and looks at me. "Yes, we can stop by the market."

He chirps with glee and I give out a soft laugh. He then flies up and turns into a staff, dropping into my hands. I hop on and look up at the sky, it's dark dusty gray with thick cumulus clouds. It's going to rain and soon. "P/n let's fly." I say, my voice stern. P/n stretches out their wings and we lift off the ground, I pull up to get higher then the treeline before dashing off. We fly at a quick pace, just enough to feel the breeze in my hair. (again sorry if you don't have hair) I fly for around for while a in a bit of a panic, until landing into Bonesburrow. I pick up P/n and carry him as I walk, looking for a store. I stop when I find one and look at the dirty old convenience store. "Come on P/n we need to make this quick" I say, petting him.

I walk into the store P/n in my arms and scrounge around the aisles, stoping near the Palismen treats. "Ok, so do you want Palistreat sticks or KipFlocks seed chunks." I ask, pointing to the labels on the shelf.

He chirps, looking at me as he kneeds my arm. I listen to his chirps as he tells me which one he likes. "Ok KipFlocks it is." I say, grabing the small bag.

I knock over another bag as I turn away, making a crackle as it hits   the floor. I freeze and look back, seeing the bag on the cold dusty floor. I do what any normal person does and put it back on the shelf before walking on over to the counter. I put the bag on the counter and look around at the extra sweets on display. I debate for a minute as the lady swipes the label, the scanner making a beep. "Will that be all?" The lady asks, looking at me with a stoned out glare.

"Um, can I add this please?" I mutter, placing a pack of gum on the counter as I fiddle with my hands.

"Mmhm." She nods, slowly looking down like I just put a pack of cigarettes infront of her.

She slowly scans the pack of gum and looks back at me."Cash or credit." She coughs, waiting for my response.

"Oh, uh. Cash please?" I reply, reaching into my satchel.

"Ok, that'll be....." She says, looking at the register. "13 snails."

I place 13 snails on the counter and grab my items, stuffing them in my satchel. "Mmmmmmmm" She grumbles.

"What?" I say, confused why she hasn't handed me a receipt.

"These aren't snails" She spits, glaring at me.

I look down at the counter to see that they were indeed snails. "No, those are snails." I say, raising my eyebrow.

"No, they aren't" She coughs.

I stand there in silence as she sits in a daze, her expression increasing. She seems to be getting irritated.

"Hey kid." She says.

"....what?" I respond, a bit concerned.

"Go away." She scorns, cutting her eyes.

I flinch when she suddenly says this.
"..o-ok 'mam." I say, backing away from the counter.
