I walked into the arena hand in hand with my fiancé. I have never felt more happier in my life.
Becky nor Mercedes know that I am engaged. It was kept between the family for this past week, but I am going to tell them today.
"Okay baby, I'm going to hang by the girls for a bit." I said as I slowed down in front of their locker room door.
"Okay, sounds good. I'll see you in a little bit."
I smiled and gave him a quick kiss before heading inside the locker room. When I entered, I saw Trinity braiding Becky's hair, and Mercedes was sitting on the vanity next to them doing her makeup.
"Hey girls!" I greeted as I closed the door behind me. Becky looked up at me and smiled, along with Mercedes stopping what she was doing. Trinity just looked up at me with a mischievous smirk.
"Hey Novalie! How was your birthday?" Mercedes asked, getting up from her spot and giving me hug. I let out a huge grin and hug her back.
"My birthday was amazing." I responded, glancing down at the shimmering ring on my finger. Becky's eyes looked at mine, then down to where I was looking. Then, she realized what was on my ring finger.
"Wait a minute... is that an engagement ring?" She stated, sitting up straight in her chair, causing Trinity to tug her hair a little. Mercedes immediately looked at my ring, exposing a smirk.
"Yeah... Joseph proposed on my birthday."
The two girls scrambled over to me, pulling me into a group hug. I smiled, hugging them back.
"Let me see the ring!" Becky squeals. I smile and raise my left hand, giving them access to my ring. They gasp at the dazzling ring in front of them.
"It's so beautiful. I wonder how much that cost." Mercedes said. I looked at the ring for myself, examining it as well.
"I don't even want to think about that."
Us 4 girls chuckled lightly. Then the 2 girls started asking me so many questions about the whole proposal and everything. I felt like my head was spinning the earth around the sun, but I was able to calm them down and answer the majority of their questions, thankfully.

"I'm thinking like, something tropical, you know? I mean, your family is very dedicated to their tribe and traditions, so maybe that could work." I explained to Joseph, looking through different locations of where we could have this wedding. Joseph chuckled lightly, rubbing his hands on my hips.
"Yeah but baby, this isn't my wedding... it's our wedding. We don't need it to be like, a Samoan type of wedding. We can agree to do something else together." Joseph explained, soon placing a kiss on my shoulder. I let out a little sigh, turning my body so I was facing him.
"Okay, but I have always dreamt of having a beach wedding. I know that it's so common nowadays but it's such a beautiful scenery, and since your tribe is Samoan, having it somewhere tropical could be nice."
Joseph sat there still, thinking about the idea. I looked back to my phone, scrolling through multiple locations.
"If that's what you want, let's do it. I'm completely fine with it." Joseph said, continuing to rub my hips gently. I let out a small smile and looked at him.
"Really?" I asked reassuringly. He scoffed lightly and nodded his head.
"Of course baby. Don't worry about this to much. All I care about is that I'm getting married to you."
I bite my upper lip, nodding at his words. We've only been engaged for a week and a half, and I'm already stressing about the location, when to go dress shopping, and so much more.
"Yeah, you're right. Sorry baby." I apologized, shutting off my phone and placing it on my lap.
"There is no need to apologize, Lee. I'm just saying don't stress yourself too much about it. We have so much time. Take your time and find everything that satisfies you. Okay?"
"Okay. I'm sorry."
"Girl, stop apologizing."
"I'm sorry!"

I wasn't able to fall asleep well that night. I just kept tossing and turning, constantly thinking about this wedding. I was thinking about the scenery. My dress. My makeup. Everything. Joseph told me to stop stressing too much about it, but I can't stop thinking about it. I just want to get married to this man so badly. I just want to hear the Master announce us as husband and wife. It's so overwhelming.
I let out an annoyed sigh, rubbing my hand on my forehead. I look over to my left, seeing Joseph fast asleep. He looked so adorable when he slept. I ain't trynna be a freak or anything, but he looks so cute.
I pull the blankets over me slowly, stepping out of bed. Joseph stirred a little, but soon let out a breath and went back to sleep. I tip toed my way to the bathroom, turning on the light. I close the door, and whip my phone out of my sweatpants pocket. My eyes technically glued to my phone. I was probably sitting in the bathroom for at least half and hour, searching through different websites.
There was this really pretty rental house that was on the beach. It was technically a mansion, so all of the guests would be able to stay there for the trip. It was located in Honolulu, Hawaii. The beach was a private one, so it would be perfect to set up a wedding reception there, and no one would bother.
I felt my eyes start to get heavy, looking at different bridal shops around the area. I let out a big yawn, almost unable to keep my eyes open. I decided to call it a night, even though it was 1:30 in the morning. I walked out of the bathroom, turning off the light behind me. I walked back to the bed, seeing Joseph in the exact same spot as from when I left. I plugged my phone in next to my nightstand, and I crawl into bed. I pull the covers over my body, soon moving myself closer to Joseph.
I snuggle myself up next to him, feeling the body heat from him heating me up. I smile lightly when his arm left his side, wrapping around my back. I finally was able to close my eyes, and fall asleep in the matter of thirty seconds.
