(a/n: hey y'all. Sorry it took FOREVER to publish this chapter. I'm currently in Italy for a tour trip so I have technically no time to write. But now, here's the chapter!)
I was currently sitting in the timekeepers area, in the empty arena. Smackdown starts in 2 and half hours, and I'm just hanging out down here watching some superstars practice their entrances.
I tapped my foot along with Mercedes' music, watching her practice her entry. I fiddled with the microphone in my hands, for no reason really.
"Hey."
I turn around and saw Joseph standing there. He was in a black and grey hoodie with some black sweatpants.
"Hey! What's up?"
"Can we talk? Real quick?" He asks. I nod my head, pulling out a chair for him. He thanks me before sitting down. His eyes gaze up to mine, with what seems like nervousness?
"I would like to apologize for the other day Novalie. That was stupid of me to kiss you without your consent. Especially in front of the others. It just made me so mad knowing that asshole wasn't leaving you alone." He spoke.
"Aw Joseph. Please don't be sorry. You helped me. You technically saved me. I was of course taken aback a little but I totally understand why you did what you did. Thank you, really."
"So, are we good?" He asks. I scoff playfully.
"We've always been good."
I pull him into a hug, which he gladly accepted. I love how caring he was. That's a part of the reason why I'm falling for him. My heart always beats a little faster when he is in the room.
"Uh, after the show is over wanna head out in the city? Take a walk?" Joseph asks. I widen my eyes with a gasp.
"Is Joseph asking me to take a walk in the city?" I exaggerate. He lets out a low chuckle, which makes me laugh.
"I mean yeah. You made me enjoy the city."
I smile at him.
"Of course I can. Let's meet by the locker room at 10." I say. He lets out that contagious smile.
"Sounds good. See you later Novalie."
We exchange smiles before he gives me a quick rub on the back. He heads off and back up the ramp. My eyes were glued onto him the whole entire time. All the way till he was behind the curtain.

The show went very smoothly. Just a lot of promos and maybe 4 matches.
Joseph didn't have a match, but he had to be in the ring for Joe's promo. I loved the way he stood there with no facial expression, and his arms were crossed in front of his chest.
His eyes did glance over to me once, and I gave him a little smirk. He didn't smirk back, of course, but he knew that I gave him one. He had to stay in character.
After everyone left when the show finished, I started heading backstage to meet Joseph by the locker room. When I arrived, I saw him already there leaning up against the wall looking down at his phone.
"Hey." I call out. He lifts his head up and looks over at me. I did see a little smirk appear on his precious face.
"Hey." He said back.
"I'm sorry if I'm late."
"Oh no, it's okay. I just got here a minute ago."
"Okay good."
We exchanged another smile before starting to head out.
"Did everyone else head back out already?" I asked Joseph.
