Unbelievable that I came up with the best plan ever, to keep Maria away from me. But sadly, it includes Tom. To be honest, I don't think about sharing it with him. He's always sick a dick.
I left my comfortable place on the wall and got myself another drink. On my way back, I heard a lot of couples arguing. I snorted and put the cup on the wall, then jumping back on it. Just as I was about to drink, someone yelled my name. "Jordan!" I sighed and looked down to see... Maria. "I thought you went home?" "Well, that's the thing. I think Tom is a just confused about all this. He just needs time!" "Maria, why are you so delusional? I think he made it clear that he's not interested!" "No, little Jordy, you don't have a clue. You never had a relationship, that's why you don't get this.." "What are you on? I think even a child would notice that. You're just blinded by your delusion." "Whatever!" She says and walks towards Tom, for the forth time this night. "Cunt." I mumble and drink my drink. She enrages me so much, it's incredible. I watch Tom and Maria walk to his car, I guess he made up his mind after all. Or not, he pushes her away from him and gets in his car. But he doesn't start the car to drive away. He just... sits in it. This man is a mystery. When Maria turned around, I hid behind the wall, so she doesn't see me.
I guess I should share my plan with Tom. It would pay off for both of us. But how am I going to do that? Just walk up to him and say it? The more I think of it, I'm starting to dislike the idea. I brush the thoughts off and walk up to his car. On the way I made sure Maria won't see me. He's still just sitting in his car, so I slap the car door and wait for him to get out. And he does, "why would you do that, stupid bitch?" "No need to be a asshole. I was about to tell you a way to keep Maria away from you, but I guess not." I say and turn around to walk away. "Novak wait! What do you mean?" "Oh, you won't like it, really." I say and look him straight in the eyes. "I hate to admit it, but if it's to keep Maria away I'm in. I don't care what it is." Tom says and leans against his car. "You know, while I was smoking I came up with an idea and I didn't want to tell you at first because it's so bizarre." "Okay, spit it out or leave. I don't have all night." "Look, I don't want to do it, but as long as it keeps Maria away..." "Novak, spit it out!" I take a deep breath, "you and me, we fake a relationship." It would make her go insane.." "Insane?" "Loco." I say and twirl my finger next to my head. "I don't know man, who would even believe it..?" "No one, I guess you need to make it look realistic." He doesn't answer, just looks at me with a uncertain look. "Tell me Next Race." I say and walk to my car.
