A Winter Tale

In the winter's embrace.
A tale unfolds,
Of a little girl lost in the street so cold.
Even tears freezes in her eyes,
While lips turn pale.

She sees all the houses ,
With christmas lights on.
Kids beeming with glee,
As everyone opens present.

She ran to the house,
Where her father and stepmother were.
Everything looked so warm and nice.
While christmas lights looked so bright.
How come she was away from everyone's sight.

When it started snowing heavily,
She went to the graveyard where her mother lied.
She sat there silently,
Curled up to find some warmth.

The next morning was bright,
The land was covered with snow.
What a blissful sight.
Yet, everyone failed to notice
The little body lying by her mother's side.
