Pablo and I slept in the car where we were. We didn't what country we were in, if we were in the same place. We had no idea. Not one, literally. I woke up in the passenger seat since Pablo made me move. I woke up along with Pablo next to me. He sat up and rubbed his eyes. We saw in front of us that there was  different scenery. Not the field, at least the one rom last night. There were power lines and trees. A car past us and I saw on the license plate it said New York. Pablo saw it, too. We were both confused. We just we in Nicaragua less than 12 hours ago. Then we remembered the portal from last night. Pablo turned the car in and drove straight.

"Why did you drive last night?" Pablo asked.

"It was a cool blue portal, it was intriguing." I explained.

"I don't care about the portal why did you drive?" Pablo asked.

"I gave you my answer." I crossed my arms. Pablo turned to me and shook his head. We looked ahead and saw big buildings.

"What is that?" Pablo asked.

"It's New York City." I answered. Pablo turned to me with a shocked look on his face.

I know he's angry deep down because we didn't get down south. We drove into the big city seeing all the big boards and people. Pablo turned into a parking lot which looked like a hotel. He turned the car off as we looked at the hotel.

"I'll check in, can you grab some stuff?" Pablo asked. I nodded and he smiled slightly.

He got out of the car and walked into the hotel. I got out of the car and opened the trunk. I felt the wind hit my skin making m shiver a bit. Maybe Pablo was right, we should've drove to Los Angeles. I took the suitcase out along with a couple back packs. I dropped one of the bags and I groaned. Someone ran up and grabbed it.

"Oh, here you go." The lady said. I grabbed it and nodded thanking her. She had dark brown wavy hair with bright blue eyes, and her make up was amazing. She looked very familiar. Like an American actor. "I'm April O'Neil." She held her hand out. I opened my mouth to say something, but I had to think. I pointed at my self as my mouth opened.

"I-I... don't speak... good English." I said. April jaw dropped and took her hand back. I saw that she bad but I smiled and shook my head trying telling her it okay. She took out her phone and typed in something. She pressed button with a voice coming out of her phone.

"Soy Abril O'Neil." The voice said. I smiled and pushed my black wavy hair behind my hair.

I pointed at my self again and thought. "I am Jasmine Romero." I said with a smile. She smiled along with me. I guess Pablo was right, I should've made time to learn English. Being someone from a foreign country and speaking a different language makes things hard. Very hard. She typed on her phone again and the voice sounded again.

"¿De dondé erés?"

"Nicaragua." I answered. April smiled and said something in English. I heard footsteps behind me and it was Pablo.

"What are you doing?" Pablo asked.

"I'm talking to this American." I answered. I nodded and looked at April. He started taking in English and I didn't understand anything.

"I'm Pablo, this is my sister Jasmine. We just got here in New York." Pablo said.

"That's nice! Jasmine told me that you're from Nicaragua." April replied. Pablo looked at me with his arms crossed and back at April. He nodded with a smile. "If you ever need anything you can call me so I can show you around." April offered.

Pablo turned to me again with a sigh. "We'd love that." Pablo smiled. I need to learn English. April smiled along with Pablo.

"O'Neil, come on let's go, you're live in an hour!" A man called. He was American, too. He had brown hair slicked back wearing sunglasses. April turned to the man then back to us.
