Going Back

Pablo and I walked to the lair with bags in on our back. We were going back to our dimension. To be honest, I didn't want to leave. I've made so many friends here, and it's be heartbreaking. We told our family friends that we'd be going on a trip to our home country. Forever. Not the forever part at least. We climbed down the ladder, and Pablo put his hands in his pocket as we walked into the lair. Mikey ran up to us and hugged us.

"I'm gonna miss you guys!" Mikey said. I heard sniffling in his voice. We chuckled and hugged back.

"We will miss you, too." Pablo replied. Raph ruffled my head, but I immediately pushed his hand off me with a small smile. I pointed at my head reminding Raph about my concussion.

"Right, sorry." Raph apologized. I chuckled and patted his arm. Donnie held out his hand and I shook it.

I turned to Leo and we hugged. His strong arms stayed around me and made sure that I wasn't going to leave. At least try not to. We pulled away and blushed as we looked down at the ground.

"We are going to miss you, guys." Leo admitted. Pablo nodded and wrapped an arm around my neck. I rolled my eyes and smirked at my little brother. Donnie brought the portal in front of Pablo and I, and I just don't want to go through that portal. Donnie turned it on showing off a bright blue light. Pablo and I sighed. He unwrapped his hand from around me and walked towards the portal. I stood in my place as I watched Pablo approach the portal.

"Coming, sister?" Pablo asked. I held my arms and looked up at Pablo.

"I... don't not want to go." I said. Everyone's eyes widened at my statement. Pablo looked at the portal then me. He sighed and backed away slowly. Donnie turned off the portal and grabbed it.

"So you aren't going back?" Mikey asked. Pablo and I looked at each other and grinned.

"Nope." We answered. Mikey squealed and hugged us. Donnie joined, Raph, then Leo. We all laughed with happiness. There's no way I'm leaving this place soon. Not in a million years.

"Now, who wants to do karaoke?!" Mikey asked. I smiled and Pablo rolled his eyes. I raised my hand then dropped my bags on the ground of Donnie's lab. We ran into the living and just sang our hearts out. I knew Leo was staring at me the entire time so I did it back. I knew Pablo just shook his head like a disappointed parent but instead of disappointment, it was with annoyance. After singing, Pablo was trying to leave.

"Please, Pablo!" Mikey begged Pablo.

"No." Pablo simply answered. I was walking towards the kitchen as I saw Pablo grabbed his bags as Mikey was begging for him to stay and eat. I sighed then grabbed my shoe and pulled it off my foot. I threw it at him and it hit him right on the bridge of his nose. I cackled and fell to the ground laughing. Mikey laughed too. Pablo sat up, rubbing his nose and glaring at me. "Fine, I'll eat, but cook fast because I have a date." Pablo ordered. Are Alma and Pablo dating yet?

I cook spaghetti which is probably the second favorite Italian food. We laughed and talked made jokes. Pablo and I opened up to them about our past and the turtles opened to theirs. Pablo left after dinner, I stayed just to help clean a bit. I turned the faucet on as scrubbed at the bowl with spaghetti sauce on it. I heard footsteps behind me and saw Leo pick up the rag next to me. He held out his hand so I passed him the bowl with no spaghetti sauce on it and he dried it off.

"So... Pablo's date." Leo said. I smiled as I scrubbed the bowl.

"My best friend." I said. Leo smiled as I passed him another dish. I grabbed a fork and scrubbed it.

"You scared me the other day." Leo admitted. I passed and turned my head towards him. "With Karai and you left right after we got back here, and at the hospital." Leo frowned. I frowned along with him but turned my head away from him. "Why did you leave?" Leo asked. Pablo already told you. "I know Pablo already said something but... I want to hear you explain why." Leo said.

"Mi madre did not like us, y mi padre left us." I explained. Leo knew I couldn't explain the entire mother-father thing in English, but I think that was enough. Leo reached over and turned the water off.  "We never said nada porque it was privado." I added. Leo grabbed my arms and I looked at him and next thing I knew, I was kissing him. His eyes were closed and mine were wide open with the sudden movement. Leo pulled away as J just stared at him with shock.

"Sorry. Sorry, I- I'll just go." Leo started to walk away. I reached out for his arm and he turned and I jumped up and my lips landed on his. My eyes were closed along with Leo's as he held my small body.

I pulled away with my arms around his neck and his arms around my back. I pecked his lips with a small smile. I hugged him as he hugged me back. We stood there for what felt like hours with our wet soapy hands and my dangling. After this entire journey which being in Nicaragua for a day but ending up here, in an entire other dimension, this is my home.
