My dear little heart

Grieve not on a dead rose

Withered away and gone at last

Forgotten like a lost prose.

Why must you be filled with immense pain?

For there is nothing else left to regain.

Letting go is the only way

To set you free and live another day.

My dear sweet heart, I promise you

One day, you will find someone new

To give you back all the love you seek

And to stay with you, faithful and true.

However, must you be prepared

For such a feat requires patience and years.

Love does not come whenever we choose

It appears to those who have nothing to lose.

So be free, my heart, to your own content

Love yourself better for there is no end

To either grief or happiness, let's not pretend

For there is no pain that time can mend.

Cherish yourself as you will know very soon

That no one can love you better than you.

Have a little faith, for time will come

And soon you'll realise you've found "the one"
