You are the last tune of my melody
An ending lyric to my song
The final days of summer
Before all the sunshine is gone.
The sunken rays of a sunset
A deep red glow at its end
You are the last throb of a heartbeat
On which my heart depends.
You are in every line of my poetry
A gap that time cannot mend
The only reason of my stubborn love
Which no rule can ever bend.
An epilogue to my story
The only part of my existence
A wish that can never happen
And a prayer for my forgiveness.
A last look before we go
A goodbye before we part
A final word to our meeting
Before we tear ourselves apart.
