Newt sat there just writing, it was a mix of doodles, things he was thinking about and questions he had.
He also wrote things he was scared for like, getting his memories back, that was the one he was most scared of, he realized that the people that mean so much to him right now probably didn't mean anything to him before. Although he was scared he was also excited. He was excited to, re-meet his family, go to his house and get a good night sleep.
He felt his eyes getting heavy. The more tired he got, the harder it became to write simple sentences. He hadn't slept in almost two days. When the workers told him Thomas would be out of the game soon he couldn't sleep, he was too excited.
Newt had thought he was dead but he was actually just in a game and so were his best friends and now they were coming out.
Now that Thomas was here and sleeping right behind him, the lack of sleep was catching up to him.
He spun around to face Thomas, he slept so peacefully. He slept on his side facing the middle, His hair dripping over his face. His jawline looked so sharp and his lips. Newt stopped himself from continuing on with that though. Newt watched as Thomas rolled over now facing the edge of the bed, leaving lots of room behind him.Before newt could think about what he was doing he laid down beside Thomas, facing away from him. He was glad he hadn't given himself time to think, because he knew 100% he would have backed out. He lay there thinking about how he was going to explain this to Thomas the next morning.
He felt the bed shake as Thomas rolled around, Newt started to wonder how Thomas hadn't rolled out of the hammock in the maze. He would have been the joke of the month. With not much entertainment the gladers tended to stick to things that were funny, like the one time chuck was trying to impress Alby and ended up falling into the pig pen. Everyone made fun of him for the next two months.Everyone had told thomas that chuck was the greenie before him but that was a lie, the greenie before Thomas was named Isaac. Isaac and Newt had gotten really close, really quickly. Isaac was the only one who made newt want to stay in the maze, the only one that could make newt truly laugh. He loved being around issac, Even to the point where Newt had become a runner just to spend more time with him. They were running one day and for some reason there was a griever out that day. Isaac had died saving Newt. Everyone promised not to talk about Isaac and Newt promised himself he would not fall for another person in the glade again. So he hated that he was gaining feelings for Thomas, but so much has changed, they were no longer in the glade, they were going to get there before memories back soon, Isaac was alive.
ISAAC WAS ALIVE
Newt had no idea how he hadn't thought of that immediately, probably because he was too busy thinking of Thomas, He was about to face a hard decision.He felt himself fade to sleep and the last thing he remembered was Thomas moving around some more.
{Time skip}
When Newt woke up it was still dark, he felt pressure on his side. Newt lifted his arm to see what it was, he was still half asleep so seeing Thomas's arm fully woke him. He felt Thomas's body behind him and his hot breath down the back of his neck. He hated that he loved how it felt. Each time Thomas breathed, hot air would hit the back of Newts neck and trickle down his shirt. He wanted to stay like this, pretend he never woke up and just go back to sleep, but the longer he stayed there, the more wrong it felt. No, that wasn't the right words, everything felt right about this.
It didn't feel morally right for Newt to stay. He lifted Thomas arm slowly and quietly crawled out from under Thomas arm. When the cold air hit his back he wanted to crawl back into the bed.
He walked to the bathroom, there was a clock in there that read 6: 45. He just had to kill about an hour then the sun would be up.~~~
