Sun and Moon's origin story (Part 1)

Sun used to have a family in a town called 'Faz Berry' as did Moon but one day they disobeyed the one rule of their town (never go outside after dark)

Sun last his Father first where as Moon lost his Mother, Sun's mother eventually ment Moon's Father. Sun and Moon became rather close as did their parents (not romantically but definitely friends).

It was only on the 5th anniversary of Sun's father's death (which Sun and Moon were 7 at the time) Sun's mother sat outside all day as the sun set in the sky Sun urge his mother to come inside she didn't respond Moon tried as well she said nothing.

It was only after Moon's Father shook her Sun's mother said "let me see the stars tonight then I'll come inside" Moon's father then took Sun and Moon inside only for the next morning her body was never found only a bloody hand on the door and foot prints leading to the woods.

After that Moon's father became more violent and would drink until he passed out leaving Sun and Moon to take care of themselves.

Many of the town folk would came by and help out the first year giving them food and support. One thing that a lady said stuck with Sun and Moon the most "don't worry you'll find someone else" Moon's father shoved them "I don't want to find someone else to love or another friend I want them back!" The lady sighed rolling her eyes "don't be like that just don't think about them I know Vicky just lost her husband so she is currently available" the lady said with a smile Moon's father then gripped the lady's arm hard and shoved her out of their house "don't ever come in this house again" then slammed the door.

Then Moon's father turned towards Sun and Moon that heard the whole thing Moon's father sighed "you two remember this that no matter what anyone says in this town or anywhere no one is replaceable" they both nodded Moon's father smiled and patted their heads and then grabbed a bottle of rum.

After another 5 years (making Sun and Moon at least 13 years old) Moon's father waited until Sun and Moon went to bed left a note for the two boys then walk outside in the middle of the night.

Sun and Moon woke the next morning only to find Moon's father note saying

[I am sorry I couldn't be a better father to the two of you I leave you two with enough money to get food for the month I love you both]

Moon then ran outside hoping it wasn't true while Sun seemed to be frozen in place.

Moon then screamed finding blood splatter on the window and once more foot prints leading towards the woods.

Years after that Sun and Moon they continued to live the small but comfortable cottage in the town 'Faz Berry'

They had considered many times moving to a different town but too many times they discovered they didn't have the money to go anywhere or found them couldn't leave their childhood home.

Their cottage itself after all these years didn't have much to it just two beds a table two chairs and a fireplace only large enough for a pot and the fire underneath.

Since it was just the two of them now their was no need to have more than that.

Moon worked making money helping Chica the local baker since he started there a year before his Father's death he had managed to keep food on the table for him and Sun.

While Sun tried desperately to make enough crops to sell or at the very least enough for the two of them to eat.

As Moon dressed leaving for work and Sun ready himself for another day of work in the garden.
As the two walked out the door Moon looked towards Sun "ok Sun I will be gone all day and maybe work late so don't work too hard in the garden now I don't want to find you sleeping in the flowers again" Moon said playfully putting a sun hat on Sun's head.

Sun blushed "it was one time Moon!" he shouted "and don't worry I am going to take breaks" Sun said giving patting Moon's shoulder, Moon sighed "good, also don't forget to get inside before dark tonight I won't be home until tomorrow so you'll be sleeping alone tonight" Sun nodded knowing full the danger in being outside, Sun still got shivers thinking about it.

Moon went to work while Sun waved goodbye saying cheerfully "have a good day Moonie!" making Moon giggle.

Sun turned towards the garden putting his hands on his hips "ok let's get started" Sun said to himself.

Sun started the day by plucking the weeds and the putting water on the plants. As Sun did all this he checked the plants to see if there was any growth since it's been almost two months the seeds had barely sprouted with only the weeds growing in abundance.

Sun looked at the gardens in the town and most of them were producing vegetables if not mere days from producing vegetables.

Sun groaned in frustration "if only we could eat weeds, then maybe we wouldn't have to worry about food or money" he said pulling yet another weed, though as he did he realized the weed was bigger than he thought as Sun pulled it out he accidentally pulled two of the barely grown vegetable plants.

This was the last straw for Sun today he then tossed the garden tools in a pile and then shouted "why is this so hard?" left the garden tools in a pile too frustrated and tired to care and went inside to cool off and get some water to drink.

Sun sipped his water then saw the pictures of his mother and father and Moon's Mother and Father Sun then took the picture of his Mother and Father "why did you leave me?" then while holding his family picture frame he touched Moon's "why did you leave us?" Sun then put the picture frame back whimpering "we...we were just kids" Sun sighed finishing his water "maybe I should take a nap before I take care of the tools" Sun said to himself thinking 'maybe it will help me calm down a bit'

After a nap Sun rubbed his eyes and stretched "ok Sun, you took a nap now you need just need to take care of the tools" he said to himself.

Sun walked to the door, and opened it seeing the sun was setting Sun gasped and grabbed the tools though he stripped dropping all then looked up with the last of the sun's rays fading.

Sun got up from the ground "damn the tools!" he shouted and ran to the door and  tried to shut the door quickly as he could only to have a hand seemingly appear on the door pushing it open.

Sun jumped back and yelled but quickly covered his mouth seeing a tall rather thin man with glowing eyes.

The tall man's clothes were that of a rich man's yet the clothes he had was loose giving Sun the feeling that wasn't his suit.

The style of the clothes was lovely having frills on the loose hanging sleeves and chest button up to the collar with an eclipse emblem on the collar. Though the tall man had worn a deep red (similar to the color of blood) along with a black waist coat with golden stitching on the edges and gold buttons.

The tall man smiled slightly revealing sharp teeth "sorry to disturb you my good fellow but could you let me in I am quite hungry" Sun shook his head not knowing why but had a gut feeling this man wasn't human "no I um..." as Sun attempted to take a step back the tall man quickly grabbed Sun by the collar of his shirt and pulled him outside without setting foot inside.

Sun struggling to get free "l-let go p-p-please" Sun stuttered the tall man laughed "really now, begging" Sun then started to claw at the man's arm "please I am all Moon has!" the tall man then slammed Sun against the wall of his and Moon's house "oh really now and should let you go? because you asked nicely" the man teased bringing Sun close to his face.

Without hesitation Sun bit the man's hand hard enough to making him drop Sun on the ground, (though not enough to draw blood) Sun stumbled but managed to get back on his feet running towards the door only to be tossed at least five feet away from his and Moon's house.

Before Sun could get up he was then pinned to the ground Sun whimpered feeling the man's cold skin on his neck, "my my you are a clever little thing" Sun then felt the man making a small cut on his neck "what age are you fellow 25 maybe 26?" Sun hesitant then nodded,  Sun as he watched the tall man lick the blood from his hand  "you appear to be strong as well" the man said with a grin Sun gasped  "no, I'm not strong I just-" the man then covered Sun's mouth "don't worry you'll make a fine addition" Sun looked at the man confused "what do you mean?" the man laughed "you'll find out soon enough" then watched in horror as the man bit his neck with the scent of copper heavy in the air as Sun slowly passed out.
