Hunger

My stomach led me straight to the kitchen. I was really hungry. I went in and found Rosy  doing the dishes.

"Hey Rosy. " I said

"Hey ummmm.... "

"You forgot my name? "

"Sadly, yes am so so-

" Don't get yourself worked up over my name but it's Riley. "

"Sure Riley  but today morning I forgot Ruby's name and she threatened to fire me. "

"Oh don't worry about that piece of shit. I would never let that happen. "

I said and we both laughed. Speak of the devil .

"Hey, you maid stop laughing and make me some blended juice ASAP. " the devil said.

"Sure de-, Ruby. " Rosy said and got to work.

I facepalmed internally for not telling Rosy to make me something when I came in. I sat down and watched as Rosy worked.

"So Riley where  did you sleep last night have a boyfriend or girlfriend or somthing here in Paris? " Ruby asked a smirk plastered on her dumb face.

No I don't you dumbass plus you ain't my mom. Speaking of her I haven't talked to her .

"No" I said deadpan and was delighted as Rosy handed her a drink and she walked out.

"Rosy can you please make me some bacon and pancakes and also some coffee. "

"Sure Riley. "

"So whose girlfriend are you? " Rosy asked looking at me with an amused expression.

"What do you mean? " I asked acting like I don't understand a thing.

"You know what I mean so spill. "

"I don't know it's complicated. " I say as  Rosy hands me the breakfast and sits across from me on the kitchen island.

"Spill Riley is it Cade or Henry? "

"What have I done?Henry said walking into the kitchen.

"N-Nothing  ."I said trying  not to stutter but stuttering  either way.

"I heard Rosy saying  my name so what have I done? He repeated looking between me and Rosy.

This is so awkward  I haven't talked to Henry  for the longest  time. And now that we are talking,  he does most of the talking.

"I was just asking Riley here , who she pre-"

"No Rosy you were telling  me about  your childhood  friend Henry who you had a crush on, remember? "I said looking  at Rosy for her to get the catch.

"Yeah Riley. "Rosy said and I sighed  in relief.

"Ok, can you make me a smoothie and Riley can we please talk , whenever? "

Ok . Shocked . Did he ask that we like ummm TALK! Ok stay calm. Rosy started  on the smoothie and Henry sat next to me while he waited.

I felt his eyes on me and it just made me turn to face him. He quickly  looked away . Did he just blush?  Ok it's sweet .

I looked away and removed my phone. My mom, it had been a long time since we talked or anything  . I can't FaceTime with her now. I don't want her jumping  into conclusion about Henry.

I texted her if we could FaceTime later and she saw my text but didn't reply. Was she OK? Just then my phone started ringing.  No mom don't do this . She was calling  NOW . No it will be so weird. Extremely.

"Well Riley pick the damn phone up."Rosy said .

I swallowed  heard and answered the phone.

I could see my mom clearly. She was in the kitchen probably  making breakfast  since there is a 6 hour difference between Paris and New York.

"Hey ,doctor how are you doing? "

I heard  a chuckle  from Henry. Jerk!

"Am fine mum, and how are you?"

"Am good, are you with someone  there?"

"N-

"Hello Ms, my name is Henry. "

"Oh , please don't call me that call me mum or even Charlotte. "

I gave Henry a glare that warned him not to dare call my mum , mum.

"Ok Charlotte. "

"Who are you to Riley,  boyfriend? "My mum said with a smirk plastered on her face.

I choked on the food I was eating and Henry had to beat my back a couple of times. Boyfriend.  Right.

"So?"my mum asked curiously.

"No mum he isn't my boyfriend,  he already has a girlfriend. "

"OH, that's sad. He's cute and you would look good together. "

No mum. We wouldn't.  If only she knew.

"Mum!!"that's all I managed to say.

"What am curious,  you should put yourself  out there , isn't he the one who invited you to Paris? "

"No mum , he isn't,  his twin invited me."

"Oh so he has a twin? Are you dating him?"

"No mum he isn't my boyfriend,  he already has a girlfriend  already. "I said sounding  really pathetic.

"What!?"both Rosy and Henry said and Cade who I hadn't noticed before.

Oops.

"Mum , I'll call you later . Bye."

"Wait don't you dare-

Too late I already hang up. And am fucked.
