"are u ready?" I asked First, who was sitting infront of me. "Will we not go, if I say no?" He asked making a puppy face.
"Your eyes are not working this time, we have to go."

His face become small, I sat besides him taking his hands in mine. "baby, let's go" I said softly, he nodded his head, sign left his mouth. " Let's go"

Reaching in the hospital, First was told to change in the hospital costume/ patients clothes. "How do I look?" He asked twirling around. "Really cute." I said laughing at his childish behaviour.

Entering the CT scan room, First sat on the machine. I picked his legs up resting them on the machine, removing his footwear. "Go,I'm fine" he said trying to push me. I stayed there for few seconds before leaving the room.

"Mr. Thanawat" i heard the doctor calling my name. "yes doctor" "let's admit him for 2-3 days, the reports will take time" the doctor said making me nod.

The problem wasn't admitting, the problem was how will I make First agree, sign left my mouth thinking of how am I gonna make this child understand.

"What happened?" First asked, seeing me zone out "ahh-nothing" I said, "I have to stay right?" He asked making my eyes go wide.

"OMG, looks like my husband's afraid of me" he said, laughing at my face. "You knew?" i asked, making him nod "yes, ofc the doctor said it to me before leaving the CT scan room."

"You agreed?" I asked, hesitating "yea" he nodded slightly. A sign of relief left my mouth " you should have told me, i was tensed" i said looking at him in the eyes.

He leaned forward, quickly pecking my lips "huh? What's that for?" I asked "a thank you gift maybe" I was confused.

"Thanks for what?" "Your doing a lot for me. I don't want to trouble you more, so i agreed " he Said cause my face to change "trouble? Sulking to your own husband is trouble?" He had no response. "You never troubled me this entire time, you understand?" He nodded, sitting up straight" Okie sir"

...
I went home for the night to bring some papers and stuff. Entering First room, he was sleeping. I went inside, sitting besides him. Taking his hands softly in mine, they were cold. I leaned forward towards them gently leaving a kiss on them, i rubbed his hands with mine to reduce the coldness.

"I was tensed for no reason it seems " i heard a voice. I turned around to meet pa standing infront of the door.
" I thought you left" i said. whenever I'm not in the hospital I ask pa to come over. "I was just gone to bring some medicines" i nodded my head understanding.

"Why is he so cold?" I asked, worried. "He vomited trice in the morning, unable to sleep so doctor gave some sort of shot" i nodded my head as i heard the explanation.

"Pa, have u eaten anything?" He looked at me without saying a word "take this have some food" I said giving the food i brought. "Yours? Are you not gonna have food?" He asked before accepting the food.

"Nah, I'll eat when First wakes up. When will he gain conscious?" I said looking at First and then back at pa. "No idea, you should probably have some food. he has been given food from the saline" I looked at the saline, sign left my mouth.

" Don't worry about him, he'll be fine." I heard pa saying "come on, sit besides me" he said, tapping besides him.

"Here, eat it" he said bringing the spoon infront of my mouth, as I sat down"it's your food pa, I'll have later" I said denying. "Son can eat from their dad's plate. And i for sure know that you won't eat after I'm gone" i had a smile on my face as i heard those words.

Having First in my life gave me everything, including a parent. "Come on eat it. i don't want First to scold me because I didn't took care of his husband." He said making me laugh.

"Awww!" We heard a voice causing us to look towards the door. "Jack, what are u doing here?" I asked, seeing jack infront of me, shocked me a little "i messaged and called u many time but i didn't got any answer" he said looking at me straight "lets go out and talk" I said trying to walk out.

"Is that First's dad?" He said looking at pa who was sitting on the couch. "Swadee khap" jack said, smiling wide which was unusual. First's dad just nodded his head in return.

"How much more time will your son live? The thing is I want khaothung bac-"
"Jack" i shouted, holding his collar. "khaothung leave him" i heard tay holding Me back. "Let's go out and talk."

...
"Why did u ignored my calls and texts?" Jack finally spoke up breaking the silence. "I was busy, jack. My husband's in the hospital, fighting for his life. I don't have time to eat food, do you expect me to pick up calls?"

"I need u khaothung, do u understand?"
Jack answered. "You can't leave. this work belongs to you. I know u love that man but he'll soon be gone. What will u do after that?" I closed my eyes trying my best to hold my anger In "he is not going anywhere, don't come here again. I'm not leaving my husband here all alone" I said leaving inside the hospital once again.

"You woke up?" I said entering the room, First looked...weak. I went towards him sitting on the table close to his bed "what happened with u and jack?" He asked suddenly causing my eyes to go wide. Did pa tell him?

"No, pa didn't told me, i was half awake. Opening my eyes that time were little different" he said laughing softly.
"Are u okay?" I asked him seeing him weaker than yesterday. "Are u okay?" He repeated my question. "Why are u asking me?" I asked with a smile. His hand moved towards my cheek gently caressing them.

"You- you look tired..."
