Chapter .5

Buzz buzz buzz, ugh! My alarm, is stealing my wonderful sleep! I reach my hand over to hit my alarm clock and turn it off.

"Kaitlyn, wake up." I heard Caleb say.

"Only if you have food."

"Mom had to go run errands and left us home alone." He whined.

"Well, what's that supposed mean?" I ask, my question muffled by my pillow.

"Unless you pretty much want black water, I can't do that."

"Eww, your food is bad, but not that bad." I grabbed my blanket and covered my head up.

"Kaitlyn! Wake up! There are robbers!" He exclaims.

"Caleb, I'm serious, get out unless you want the tickle monster to come get you."

"But you wouldn't want the robbers to find us."

"Caleb, get out!"

"Fine." He walked out the door.

I got up and went to my vanity and grabbed my hair brush. I ran it through my hip length hair. I heard a faint knock on the door to the house and quit brushing my hair to listen in on what was happening.

I heard the door open and Caleb talking to someone, then I heard, his voice, Jake was at my fricking house.

"Hi." Caleb said.

"Hi, is Kaitlyn home?" Jake said. That was it, I opened my bedroom door and walked strait up to him and grabbed him by his collar.

"Get out of this house before I make leave in an ambulance!" I shouted at him almost creepily calm.

"Kaitlyn! Don't hurt the guest!"

I took a deep breath in and angrily exhaled. "Caleb, you don't even know him nor the reason I left dinner last night. Jake! Get out be fore you go to the hospital."

"K-Kaitlyn, please don't hurt me."

"Then leave." I growl.

"Your goin-" Caleb cuts him off.

"Dude, leave, before I let her at you."

"You're all crazy people."

"Maybe I wouldn't be crazy if I didn't want to strangle you!"

"Fine I'm going." He walks out the door and closes it behind him.

I walk to my room and finish getting ready. I find a  black tank top, a pair of black sweat pants, a light pink hoodie and my black converses. I put them on and grab my bag.

"Caleb, come on the bus is here!"

"Coming!"

We go out the door and walk up the bus steps. Caleb takes a seat next to his friend and I take an open seat.

"Hey Kaitlyn, sorry about yesterday." A voice from beside me says. I turn to them and it's  Raydon.

"Are you sure?"

"Yes, look Jake made me help him get you because he heard a secret of mine and black mailed me." He sighs.

"Oh, okay. Um do mind if I know the secret?"

"I mean I reckon I could tell you." He shrugs. "I have a crush on your friend."

"Melissa?"

"Yeah." His cheeks turn red a bit.

"Uh-oh someone's got it bad."

"Shh! don't say anything." He shushes me. "Hey uh did Jake do anything...weird this morning?"

"You mean knocking on my door and knowing it was my house? Yes."

"Yeah, go figure. I 'broke up' with him this morning."

"Hey, um I'm sorry for yelling at you yesterday." A voice from another seat says. I remember her from yesterday, I bumped into her in the lunch line and she screamed at me.

"Oh it's okay, I get it, we all have our days."

"Yeah, my grandpa passed and I wasn't in a good mood."

"Oh no, I'm sorry for your loss."

"Thanks."

"What's your name?"

"Just call me four."

"Okay. I'm Kaitlyn."
