The Inside Story

When is it over?

   Awhile later the group had seen just about everything.  Emma getting abused, forced to sleep in a cellar, thrown down stairs ,and handcuffed to a radiator, tormented by other foster kids and so on.

    Oh andEmma getting betrayed by Lilly twice and pulled in front of a car by Ingrid. Then the scene changed and it showed a Emma who looked around fifteen walking down an alley hands in her pockets.
   "What's wrong with her?" Henry asked and all the grownups shrugged.

  Emma tripped on a newspaper and she fell hitting the floor hard. She cursed under her breath then stood the paper sticking to her. Slowly she peeled the paper from herself and read the headline. Her face paled as she threw the paper to the ground and sobbed.
  "No , no it can't be why her, uhh" she began to sob uncontrollably.

Snow slowly walked over and looked at the paper and gasped.
  "Oh no."
     "What's it say Snow ?" Red asked and Snow turned towards them before she began to read.
  "Poor little orphan Carmine Scarlet Hood was br, was brutally murdered by her foster parents and written on the  wall in blood was one word.. Storybrooke E.S." Snow finished
"She was trying to lead mom to storybrooke, which means she's a fairytale character ,I wonder who she is or was ." Henry whispered looking at his mom's sobbing figure.

  Emma slowly lifted her wrist to reveal a red bracelet and Carmine's words echoed in her mind
  " Don't worry Em I'll never leave you completely I'll always be in your heart."  Emma sobbed louder at the remeberance.

Everyone watched as the scene began to fade.
After that they saw Emma get left in jail by Neal and Emma give up Henry
    
"I don't know how to be a mother."

  Which just made both Henry and Snow cry for different reasons. They saw a lot of things but the one that hit home was Emma interrogation of the Snow Queen.

    "You don't know them or me." Emma defended.
   "I don't have to know you Emma I've been you." The Snow Queen told her.
  " the curse they chose to use you to break it and they're still using you,and all it takes is one mistake." She waited letting it sink into Emma
   "And then they chose to have a new child." Again she let it sink in before adding,"and don't you think they thank their lucky stars everyday that he was born normal." She spat and Emma looked near tears before she whispered
   "They love me."
   "You can't love someone you don't understand and they learn to fear it and then they look at it as a monster."
  "SHUT UP!!" Emma screamed slamming her hands down on the table and making her magic bust a huge hole in the wall.
  "What'd you do to me?" Emma asked sounding fearful.
  "It's you Emma and its beautiful." She whispered before dissapearing in a poof of snow.

  Snow buried her head in David's chest sobbing uncontrollably.
  "David she tried to defend us and then we let her down. Snow then watched as the scene changed to Emma getting yelled at by Snow and running.

Then everything went black as night.
