Family Means Sticking Together

After Henry had squealed everyone turned their attention to the scene.

Emma was sitting next to her mom laughing about something.
"Yeah you're so right he's so overprotective when I'm around boys!" Emma laughed along with Snow
"Well he's the exact same way with me protective." Snow whispered with a smile.

"You're both talking about me aren't you?" David asked and Snow had to cover her mouth to keep from laughing.

"You should've seen his face when hook was talking to me at the diner." Emma laughed and Snow laughed right along with her. Then she made her face a little more serious

"You know he does it because he loves you right?"
Emma smiled brightly
"Of course." She paused before adding a bit quieter,"and I love him for doing it. I never had that as a kid." Snow smiled sadly but then wrapped Emma in a hug.
"Well you do now,so you better get used to it." She joked and Emma grinned brightly.

David had tears in his eyes as the scene began to fade slowly.
When he wiped his eyes he knew instantly what the next scene was about.
"Uh Snow maybe you don't want to see this." He stated trying to cover her eyes but she pushed him off.

Emma was sitting at her desk with her head down.
"Hey what's up?" David asked then paused kneeling down next to Emma ," hey Em, you feeling okay?" He asked touching her forehead. Then he recoiled
"Emma you're burning up!" Slowly Emma lifted her head off of her desk.
"Hmm..no no I'm fine." She yawned sleepily ,before her head slowly sunk back down to her desk.

"When was Emma sick?" Snow asked David arms crossed and he cringed.
"Um well it was about a week after she was trapped in the um ice cave with Elsa'' he told her and watched as her eye began to twitch.

" Emma you're not fine come on let's get you home." David tried but Emma shakily rose from her seat.
"I have a robery to go check out." She grumbled walking away.
"Emma you can't go outside you're sick." He called after her then when he ran out he saw her sitting on the steps head in her hands asleep.

"Emma come on let's get you home and in bed." He stated gently but Emma pulled away.
"I'm fine ." she whispered softly before she stood and started down the street.

"Come on Emma I can't just let you wander around town like this!!" He called and Emma turned and walked towards him.
"Fine you can take care of me in the cell,but if you call mom I'll use my magic and poof away got it?"
"Got it!" David said warmly then Emma smiled
"Good now carry me please before I throw up." She told him

Which made Henry and Red laugh, and Regina smile faintly at Emma's bluntness.
Though Snow wasn't smiling one bit.
"You made a deal with her not to tell me?" She asked and David sighed
"It was the only way she'd let me take care of her Snow." He tried to explain but Snow turned away and he sighed.
This was going to be a long ride.
