The Inside Story

What Do You Mean?

Snow was drained emotionally,and when she turned and looked at everyone else she saw just how emotionally drained they were too,but still they all turned to look at the next scene.

A seven year old Emma and a ten year old Carmine were both huddled under a filthy bed. Emma was sobbing violently.
"Shh shh Emma its going to be okay.I'm here and I won't let him touch one hair on your beautiful blonde head okay?" Carmine whispered soothingly and Emma nodded slowly.

"Why are they hiding?" Henry asked sadly.
"Probably the same drunk Awhole who was threatening to shoot them from before." Red spat.
"Red language." Snow whispered
"Okay Snow then what do you want to call him hmm because I think he is a A*%!" She raged before turning back to the scene sadly.

"Which one of you little brats ate my sandwich!? Huh? I know it was here just a minute ago. Come out and face the music!!!!" A drunken voice screamed from downstairs. Slowly Carmine took a deep breath and turned to Emma.
"Emma promise me no matter what you hear you won't leave this bed."
"But Carmine he hit you in the head last time and I ..."
"Emma Swan you promise me okay ?" Carmine told her a bit more forcefully.
"Okay ..I ..I promise " she whispered and Carmine touched her cheek sadly then rolled out from under the bed and snuck downstairs. Little Emma strained to hear what was going on down there.

"I hope he doesn't hurt her." Henry whispered and David pulled him into a hug.
"I know buddy me too." Hr whispered reassuringly.
"People like that don't even deserve to live!" Regina spat angrily.

Slowly the bedroom door creaked open.
"Emma, Em it's okay now, he was asleep downstairs. Also I made him a new sandwich so he'd quit his squwaking about the sandwich he ate." Carmine told her and Emma laughed rolling out from under the bed and wrapping her friend in a tight hug.
"Oh Carmine what would I do with out you?" Emma whispered happily.
"I donno be bored?" She asked with a large smile. And Emma laughed lightly punching her shoulder.
"So I hear it's someone's eighth birthday tomorrow." Carmine told her with a grin.

Everyone watched as the scene slowly faded.
Then they watched Emma and her time with Lilly and then with the Snow Queen and the family after the Snow Queen.
They saw Emma's time with Neal and just everything after that.
Then when everything went black and they woke up they were more than surprised to find one last door in front of them with the words
"The One Horrible Memory"
