That one time Rinku and Tsukasa went on an adventure

"You want me to go WHERE??"

It was a normal day at the kingdom. The birds were chirping, sun was shining.

It was a perfect day to be outside, yet prince Tsukasa had to stay inside. It was a rule he had to follow if he wanted to be a king in the future.
But what if I want to become an explorer instead of a king?

The boy couldn't stop thinking about it.
He was sitting in the dining room. It was a grand room, with big windows and grand statues. A steaming cup of tea sat before him.

It was his favorite tea, chai tea with just a little bit of milk.

But today the tea wasn't as delicious as before. The whole castle felt more...dull. He wanted to go outside, to see the world and all its wonders.

Yet he couldn't. He was supposed to take rule. Take care of his future kingdom and-

"Your majesty?" A voice of a guard sounded from the door to the dining room. "May I come in?"

"Yes." The prince said.

The guard entered. He was a tall man, with short brown hair. His uniform was neat and clean.

"You have a visitor."
"Visitor?"

Tsukasa hummed in question, putting his tea down.

"Ah yes she uh...I apologize for my manners but, she is quite insistent on meeting you"

The guard bowed his head. "I didn't wish to bother you but she-"

"It's okay, it's okay. I can talk with her."
Tsukasa said, getting up.

The guard bowed down, stepping away so that Tsukasa could walk down the hall.

The halls were empty, safe for a few maids and guards. It was a busy day at the castle, as always.

He followed the guard to one of the waiting rooms. The guard opened the doors and bowed again.

"Your majesty."

Tsukasa entered the room.

Sitting on a couch was a girl.

Well, not sitting, more like bouncing up and down on the cushions as if she was too excited or too restless.

She noticed Tsukasa soon enough.

"Ah! Tsuka- Tenma-? YOUR MAJESTY! HELLO!"

She stood up quickly, bowing. Her hair fell around her face as she bowed, a bit messy.

"You may rise." Tsukasa said, trying to sound royal.

She stood up quickly, her bright red eyes shining like gems.

The girl didn't even wait for Tsukasa to continue.
"I am Aimoto Rinku, though you may call me Rinku!"

She grinned, giving him a thumbs up. "I'm a travelling knight! I'm still training and learning but- Oh right!"

She clasped her hands together, the grin still on her face.

"Will you go on an adventure with me?!"
Rinku asked with a grin, catching Tsukasa off guard.

"Excuse me?"

"An adventure! Like the ones from the fairy tales! We can be like those two knights who went on an adventure!"

She jumped a bit.

"Oh, sorry if that was sudden, it's just, I really wanted to go on an adventure! And no one in my town was down for it so, I thought I would come to you!"

Tsukasa was dumbstruck and shocked.

"You came to visit me...the prince...so that I could go on an adventure with you..??"
