Around the corner after intruding in Lonnie and Yoshio's moment, stood Xen and Itsumia. Itsumia had his arms crossed, leaning against the wall. He was flipping a lollipop around with his tongue and looking up at the ceiling.
"Your attitude seriously needs work, Xenny."
Itsumia said, looking over at Xen, who was pushing off the wall repeatedly.
Xen shrugged it off and continued with what he was doing.
"I don't know what the problem is. It's not like you don't like my attitude."
Itsumia stepped up to Xen and put his hand against his chest, smiling.
"True. It's just... they remind me of us back when we first met."
Itsumia's eyes darted down before almost being forced back up as Xen moved Itsumia's head back
"Awhhh.. and how did that go exactly?"
Xen chuckled as he kissed Itsumia.
Remembering back 3 years, how did Itsumia and Xen meet? It was their Freshman year in high school, in Minagi Alternative Boys High School.
Xen and his 2 brothers had just arrived at their new school. It was already halfway through the school year but the boys had just moved. One thing was for certain, they wanted to pick apart the soccer team there.
Going through the whole day without any sort of interruption, Xen and his brothers arrived to the soccer field and almost immediately, Xen was taken aback by the stunning sight of a slimmer and more androgynous looking boy completely sending the soccer ball through the goalie's hands with quite amazing finesse.
This boy was Po Itsumia in his freshman year, same with Xen.
Itsumia looked up and over at Xen and his brothers, turning his body to them and waving, also revealing the Captain Mark under the number of his practice jersey.
Xen smirked and slightly bit his lower lip.
Kyoto hit Xen in the stomach, breaking the focus he had on Itsumia. Itsumia saw this and was slightly off-put by it but still went over to them nonetheless. He panted a bit from running over but caught his breath and put on a smile.
"Hey there! Let me guess uhm..."
Itsumia pointed at them left from right.
"Kyoto, Jin, Xen."
The order was completely wrong.
"Jin." "Xen." "Kyoto."
They all said left to right respectively.
Itsumia looked at them embarrassed but chuckled it off, shaking each of their hands, feeling a firmer grip with Xen's handshake. Itsumia looked up and smiled before pulling his hand back lightly.
"So boys, get in your practice gear and put on yellow jerseys, we're gonna see what you can do!"
On the side of the field, Xen was putting on his cleats and stretching along with his brothers. He was sort of spaced out, readying himself for the scrimmage game when he heard Jin speak, immediately getting caught in attention.
"It's weird.." Jin said, sort of mumbling a bit, having just come out of his mute phase.
Xen stood upright and kicked the ground, "What is?".
Jin slightly pointed over to Itsumia, pointing out the fact that he was the captain despite only being a 1st year.
"Oh right. Huh. That's weird" Kyoto said, walking off to the field while putting on his goalie gloves.
Xen shrugged it off and went to the left forward position
Jin stayed staring for a bit and nodded before going to the right forward position.
The field was set up in a 6 on 6 formation. For each team they had their goalie, then the rest were purely meant for attacking. A style of practice which would engage more of an offensive style.
It was Xen, Kyo, Jin, and 3 other players from the team vs Itsumia and 5 other starters from the team. Itsumia raised his hand and as if on sync and rehearsed, all of the players on the field got ready to go. Then the hand came down, and the attackers from each side blitzed the ball in the middle of the field.
Xen had slightly held back, allowing for his brother, Jin, to overtake him in a seconds notice. As Jin made his speeding advance, Itsumia cut his hopes short by being just that much faster. He took the ball from the center and moved it as Jin slid through, completely embarrassing him by leaving him on the ground.
This wouldn't be the first time something like this would happen during this match either. Reset after reset, Itsumia was single-handedly making a fool of not only Jin, but Xen and Kyo as well.
Soon enough, the game ended and of course, Itsumia's team won in a blowout of 11 to 4.
