Love stirs in heart, a feeling so bright,
But to deny it, a fear so strong.
To let it in, to let it grow,
The feeling of love, that is hard to show.

The fear of hurt, the fear of loss,
The fear of giving in, a fear to cross.
To love and lose, it seems such a cost,
To deny love, it's just that it's hard to embrace what may be lost.

The silence deep, the heart so still,
I love and deny, and not to feel.
The feeling that stirs, the love that's lost.
To not embrace it, a secret it holds to the very end.

The fear of getting hurt, the fear of pain,
The fear of losing love, is just so painful to say.
To not have love, and to not let it be,
Is a fear that haunts, it's just a dream that can never be.

The wisteria house was covered by the snow, a storm was brewing and had already captured the heart of the mountain. It wouldn't be long before Shinobu was caught as well.

Although the Wisteria house wasn't too far from the next nearest town, on foot and in the snow could prove to be more challenging that what one could first fathom.

Inside the house the patron of the house stood by the window, watching both slayers leave, she had done her job for the night, providing slayers with medicine and a place to stay was something that she could do for them, as repayment for saving her family. It was more than worth spending the nights often alone and in the cold.

Shinobu turned to face the carriage that Giyu had just adorned and watched as the Kakushi slowly started to move. The sound of the carriage wheels and the rhythmic clopping of the horses footsteps slowly started to fade and soon could only be heard as it echoed up the mountain road.

Shinobu looked again at the cart as it slowly started to fade in the distance, soon it only became a blurry dot as the storm slowly took over her vision.

How long was she stood outside watching? She asked herself, for when she re-entered the Wisteria House she quickly looked down at herself.

Her uniform and Haori, covered in snow as it slowly began to blanket her. Her hair had only the larger flakes of snow sticking to it, dampening the hair but also adding the shine to it that really transfixes the beauty and grace that is Shinobu Kocho.

"You we're out there for some time, I was considering coming to get you, yet you seemed to be okay with the cold"

The patron walked over and handed Shinobu a hot cup of tea, using the leaves grown in the garden, you could take just one look at tea and know it's made with a perfection only years of making could produce.

The patron could only stare at the young slayer gazing into her tea like she's been transfixed, frozen in time.

"Hello? Young miss" but nothing was getting through to her, she wasn't responding, she only sat and stared.

Shinobu sat there, staring inwards at her tea as her mind raced on.

Was it confusion? Or was it sadness? Shinobu could understand confusion after all he did just leave her but why sadness?
