"Wh-wh-who are you?"
I asked petrified to this tall broad man. He looked in his mid 40's and had a thick posh accent and grey hair with a few wrinkles in his face. I leaned forwards which i saw a badge with 'Officer Cowell' printed on it and a gun; he surely was a police. I gulped loudly and i could tell that he had his eye on me. What i haven't noticed was that I was chained up with steel handcuffs; or maybe i had noticed it but now, that realization took me in suspense.
How did that happen?
I then looked forward which appeared that he was guiding me to an office. As he lead me the way and opened the door for me, (obviously i couldn't do it) i saw this quite handsome man, oh he was quite fine. The police offered me a seat and i gladly took it across from the broad handsome guy. The only light their was was this bright lamp that was facing me which answered why my eyes where squinting in the most uncomfortable way, and between us, was his neatly organized desk.
"My name is Detective Payne, Liam Payne."
He said while entertaining his both hands with each other and sitting with a presentable posture. I was honestly frightened so to sound like a toughie, i answered a simple
"So?"
"Oh so you're the sassy type huh?" He smirked at me and chuckled lightly which made my palms sweat since he intimidated me. He then fixed his voice and adjusted his ivory tie.
"We are not here for names Mr. Tomlinson, do you know why you're here?"
I simply shook my head delicately which still caused me to blacken out a bit.
"Mr. Tomlinson, you are here beca-"
Before he finished his sentence, Mr. Cowell jogged towards him and whispered something on his ear while their eyes gazing deadly at me. I heard some "oh's" and "mm's" from the young lad and then he coughed lightly to catch my attention again. He took his papers from his desk and straightened them out evenly and finally said:
"Your trial date will be on the 13th of December, i expect you to be there. I know its in 3 months but their is no space available to put you in any sooner. Is there any questions?"
I was pretty pissed by then and yes, i did have questions, lots of them.
"Why exactly am i here? Im not going to stay here in this living hell pit of yours if you don't tell me why I'm here for."
I nearly blew my head off but i wouldn't blame myself. Mr. Payne just shook his head and declared:
"You are a suspect of committing a crime and you can't become a free man until you are proven innocent, that is all i can say Tommo."
I let out a chuckle of disbelief. This is f.ucking pathetic.
"At least can i get a bloody phone call to call someone?"
He shrugged"Sure, but you only got 5 minutes, its usually 3 but you seem like a nice guy." He smiled at me and i fake smiled back.
I reached to the rusty red phone booth attached to the wall and immediately dialed my mum. I was smiling widely while looking down and observing my tattoos for the millionth time, and almost jumped when someone picked up.
"MUM IM SO GLAD YOU ANSWERED, WHERE AR-"
"Uhhh, who is this?"
His raspy Australian voice ringed through my ears which didn't excite me one bit since it surely wasn't my mum.
"Um, is Jay there?"
"No, this is Calum, i think you've got the wrong number."
I felt tears piling up in the corner of my eyes but i was confident that this was her number.
"Nope, i'm pretty sure i got it right."
"Well then if this is a prank mate, its not cool at all, you just woke me up." He chuckled cheekily which by the way, he had an adorable laugh but i was too hurt to care.
"Oh im sorry, bye."
and i quickly hung up. I never felt so disappointed in my life.
