It was night time at the KhaosNox Thomas house. There was a dance to celebrate and introduce Ren as the new Alpha for her clan Nevermore. Ren wore a sky blue slim gown, showing her curves. A white pearl masquerade mask covered her eyes, and her hair was short and black. Her lips were smooth but natural. She walked around meeting her pack members and the families of her aunts and uncles on both her parents' side.

Suddenly, someone tapped her shoulder. They bowed, and Ren tilted her head. "Oh! You want to dance.. uh..I guess.." she whispered, feeling nervous. They walked to the dance floor. The guy was wearing a dark green suit with a black mask covering his face well. Ren thought his scent was a little familiar, but it was hard to tell with cologne on him. The music started playing Every Heart from the anime show Inuyasha. Ren curtseyed before they started to dance. She couldn't help but notice the touch of his hands on hers. They danced, with him dipping, twirling, and picking her up. Ren couldn't help but smile small. Once the song ended, Ren bowed her head. "Thank you," she said, and went to walk off, but he grabbed her hand and led her deeper into her part of the woods.

"Uh...yes?" She stopped them, being cautious. He took off his mask, and Ren's eyes widened. "Dean.. w-what.. you can't be on property.. you got kicked out for the second time.. this time permanently," she mumbled. "I know, but I also got disowned," he rubbed the back of his neck. Ren frowned, looking down. "I'm sorry.. " she couldn't help but give him a hug. She looked up at him. "You know.. we can do whatever now.. " Dean smiled down at her. Ren shyly looked to the side. "I guess.. but..we need to be slow.." she whispered. She kissed his cheek and pulled away from him. They kept silent until Ren heard her mother's voice in her head, remembering the pain she dealt with, the heartache, and the fights.

"Wait.. we can't.. I can't anymore.." she said seriously. Dean sighed as he sat on the ground, looking at the night sky. Ren blinked a tear away. "W-We should not be friends anymore..you'll have a memory in my heart and soul.. thank you for everything.." she smiled with her head up and walked away back to her ball. "It was nice being friends while it lasted," he mumbled, looking down.
