It was a normal day walking into high school- same people, loud noises, the murmur of pointless gossip, and the annoying shrieking of girls as they met up with their friends. Despite being new, it felt normal. I noticed some people must have picked up on my "otherness" since they seemed to instantly part away from me, but I smiled at the ones who at least tried welcoming me. As I walked along the hallways I started to feel my wolf perking up... which I found unusual since she usually preferred to stay dormant around humans. It wasn't until I looked into a pair of deep green eyes that I realized why.

For the first time in months I fought control of my wolf. I was instantly drawn towards him. Werewolf... he's a werewolf. How is that possible? Before I knew it he was right in front of me and his eyes were glowing an eerie shade of green. He leaned in close and I heard him whisper "mate". My stomach turned in knots; it took me a minute to recover from the intense realization until I noticed people were starting to stare.

"I um... people are sort of... s-staring. They're staring." I mentally cursed myself for stuttering, but how else was I supposed to react? I had just found my mate. MATE.

The intensity finally broke as his face broke into a breathtaking grin. I couldn't help but smile back. He really was stunning. He was tall with a strong jawline, and had long dark hair that sort of swept over his eye a bit. Cute. But what caught my attention most were his green eyes. They almost matched mine.

My attention was finally brought back when I heard him ask, "So what's your name? I haven't seen you around here before."

"I didn't realize there were any other wolves in this area. My pack recently relocated here and there wasn't anything stating that another pack had been around for awhile so we figured it'd be alright... I don't know. Oh and my name is Zakayaa, you?"

He seemed slightly confused at first, but shook it off pretty quickly and focused back on me... something I wasn't used to, but I liked it. Chill Zak, you're a dominant... not a pup. Quit wagging you're tail and focus. As if he had heard my inner monologue, he flashed a grin at me; I blushed. Mhm... this'll be interesting.

"My name is Synyster, but usually people just call me Sin."

Sin... interesting. "It's nice to meet you then, Synyster."

"You too, Zakayaa."

"So you're my mate?"

"I guess I am."
