It didn't take long to get to the pack mansion, and even though I was still sort of annoyed with Atreyu's behavior, I was curious as well. He kept looking at me in a strange way... almost protectively? We exchanged a few glances, but just as he was about to say something, Synyster walked in. They stared at each other for a few seconds until Atreyu dropped his gaze and walked away.

I looked back and forth between them as Synyster walked up to me.

"What's his problem?" I asked.

"That's just him. I'll deal with it later. How are you?"

"I'm alright. Where were you today?"

"Had to deal with one of the younger members. Damian decided it was a good idea to sniff around Sadie's things, which of course ended in her getting pissed, and me having to keep a dominant female from breaking his arm."

"Oh, fun?"

"Totally," he said sarcastically.

He stood there with a blank expression until something snapped his attention back to me. I smiled as he walked up to me placing his hand gently against my face. He finally seemed to drop his worry and smiled at me. I could feel butterflies fluttering around in my stomach just from that.

"So how was your day Zakayaa?"

He grinned as I scrunched up my face.

"It was alright, very slow but not bad I guess. Oh, by the way the alphas from my pack said they were planning on visiting today. Not sure if you knew, but just a little information."

"I know, they also mentioned you finding your mate amongst the pack. How interesting right? They would like to meet him."
He laughed as he noticed my eyes widen... I completely forgot to mention the fact it was him.

"Oh um, I may have forgotten to mention it's you," I said looking down a bit. I felt bad honestly.

"It's alright love, I didn't expect you to mention it yet. It'll just be a little extra surprise."

He lifted my face back up so I was looking at him and rubbed his thumb gently across my cheek. As much as I loved the sensation, it was a lot. I still couldn't believe this was happening.

"So when are they coming?" I asked out of curiosity.

"They should be on their way now actually."

Just as he finished talking, Atreyu came in and glanced at me before taking place at the back of the room. I looked at Synyster with a bit of confusion and he cocked his head to the side in response.

"Ohhhh, Atreyu- it was in agreement that we would each have our betas attend as well. Not as much due to threat, just for more information and to become more familiar with each other's packs."

I made an "oh" motion with my mouth, and and glanced at Atreyu before sitting down. Sin remained standing since he was dominant, but I didn't really pay mind to it.

A few minutes later we heard the doorbell ring, and I followed Sin to the door. He welcomed Rose and Ash into the mansion, and we made our way to the room we had been in previously. Daren took place at the opposite side of the room from Atreyu and they each nodded at each other quickly before keeping a close eye on each of the alphas. Synyster stood next to me and just as I was about to sit, surprisingly he wrapped an arm around my waist- keeping me from doing so.

"What are you doing?" I whispered looking up at him confused.

"You're now considered the alpha female of my pack, so you stand by my side as a dominant, and sitting would show I sign of submission even if you did previously submit to your Alphas," he replied just loud enough that I could hear.

Each of the alphas shook hands and introduced themselves, and when Synyster said who he was, Rose looked at me with surprise.

"One thing we never exchanged was names over the phone, this is your mate?" Rose asked with a smile.

"Yes," I responded shyly.

Synyster wrapped a protective arm around my waist again and flashed them with one of his cute grins. I looked up at him, and playfully nudged his side. The rest of the time was spent figuring out the alliance and how this would work having the two packs so close. Overall it went well.

It was around 8:00 that Ash and Rose decided to head out. Synyster walked them to the door, and I hugged Rose as they were leaving. They talked for a bit longer, and I was feeling pretty good about how things were going.

As the alphas kept talking, I just then noticed that Daren hadn't followed. Curious as to where he was, I perked up my hearing and heard mumbling from the room that we were just in. As I entered the room, I found him right up in Atreyu's face.

"Keep out of our territory and away from her. How would you like Sin knowing about you sniffing around her?" Daren spat the words at him in a harsh whisper.

"Mm-m...," I mumbled by accident.

Daren dropped the threatening look and backed off walking over to me. He had a calm expression now, acting as if nothing just took place. All I heard was a low rumbling from Atreyu as he walked out of the room.

"Daren, what was that?!" I asked in confusion.

"He was the one who was in our territory last night, and who could've been a threat to you, yet you didn't tell me."

"And how exactly did you figure that out?"

"I noticed his scent on you, the night you came back in from your "adventure". I didn't notice it at first, until we came here and my wolf picked up on it."

"So you automatically assumed it was him?"

"Are you going to argue that it wasn't?"

I thought for a second; deciding that it was smarter to just drop it, I shook my head no. With that, Daren nodded and walked out of the room. I took a deep breath and let it out slowly. Pressing my palms against my forehead, I relaxed before heading back to the alphas.

I let Rose and Ash know I would be staying a bit longer, and Ash told me that they would send someone to get me if it got too late.
