Chapter 6

I slowly got up and walked to the water, I watched everyone splashing each other. I tried to fake a smile and hid my arms behind my back. Luke looked at my thighs. "Dani, what happened?!" I looked down at my cuts and then back at him and faked a smile once again. "My cat, she had really sharp claws." "Oh" he nodded and I could tell he didn't believe me. I sighed and walked into the water. "Ooooo brrrrrr, how do you guys swim in this cold lake!" Ace looked at me laughed. "Easy. Dive in!" "Um no" I said a little fast, trying to remember to keep my arms behind my back. I couldn't do this, I couldn't face them, not yet. "Um, I'm kinda cold, I'm gonna go get a drink and stand by the fire over there." "Alright." Kelly said and I saw Ace look at me with concern, I felt his eyes on me as I walked back to my chair and put my shorts and flannel shirt back on. I walked over to the bonfire and got myself a drink. I didn't know anyone here but the loud music and warm fire caught my attention. I sipped on my drink and some guy grabbed my ass. "Hey there, you're looking fine tonight. Here alone?" I stepped away from him and tried to stare into the fire, trying to ignore him. "Awe, babe. Don't be like that." I still ignored him and before I knew what was happening he grabbed my wrist and pulled me into him. His lips crushed into mine and I tried to pull away but he was much more stronger then me so I didn't go anywhere. I struggled against his grip and tried to pull away. He pulled away but still gripped my wrist tightly. "You're hurting me, let go." I demanded. "Listen here sexy, you're coming home with me tonight." He grabbed my chest and crushed his lips into mine, still holding onto my wrist. And before I knew it, he fell to the ground and looked over to see Ace, glaring at him.

Ace's POV

I punched him in the face as hard as I could. I looked at Dani, she looked like she was going to cry. I looked at her wrist and it was slightly bruised. The guy got up and tried to swing at me. "Bad choice man." I punched him again in the face and he fell back on the ground and didn't get up this time. "Are you okay Dani?" I asked her, I was extremely worried about her. "I'm fine, can you just take me home please..?" She said, I could tell she was choking the tears back. Her voice was light and shaky. Before I answered I hugged her tightly and looked in her eyes. "Of course I will." I put my arm around her shoulder and walked her to my car, I opened the door for her and she got in. I got in and started driving. I could tell she was shaken up. I heard a soft cry and looked over at her for a moment. "It's okay, Dani. I promise. I'm right here." We got back to her dorm and I walked her in.

Daniela's POV

I unlocked my door and walked in, Ace following closely behind. I turned around and looked into his silvery blue eyes. "Thank you, for saving me." "Of course! Anytime." He said and started to walk out. "Wait...Ace?" He turned around. "Yah?" "Um, could you stay with me tonight...?" I asked shyly. "Sure." His voice was very kind and loving. "I'm just going to go change, wait right here." I quickly changed into black yoga shorts and a black hoddie. I came out into the living room to see him taking off his shirt. Even though I was shaken up I still couldn't help but smile and bite my lip.

Ace's POV

I looked at her and smiled. She was extremely sexy. "Ready for bed." She asked me, I could easily tell she was shy. "Yup, where will I be sleeping?" I asked trying to lighten the mood with a shitty joke. "With me...possibly..?" She said and bit her lip. She looked so cute when she did that and it turned me on a little. "Of course." I walked into her bedroom and crawled in bed with her. I didn't want to push things so I stayed on my side on the bed and rolled over facing away from her. "Ace..?" "What is it Dani?" I had to restrain myself from saying Princess, babe or baby girl. "Can I cuddle with you...?" She sounded so shy. "Sure." I turned on my side facing her and wrapped my arms around her, pulling her close to me. She slowly fell asleep in my arms. It was the best feeling in the world. I kissed her forehead. "Goodnight beautiful." I whispered softly so she wouldn't wake up and I slowly drifted off to sleep.
