Reading went by quick. Malachi and I say next to each other and we talked almost the whole time, while Mr. Stone was yapping about the upcoming poetry unit, that happens after break.

TIME SKIP - LUNCH

Malachi and I walked into the lunchroom, and I immediately noticed the smell of tomato sauce. It grossed me out a bit but I ignored it. Malachi and I both looking for our friend groups. Once he saw his he said his goodbyes, and walked away. Shortly after, I saw a bright blonde haired girl, her posture held high and walking confidently. I knew it was Keira, my best friend in the whole world. I met up with her and I got lunch from the lunch line, while the other girls in our friend group got to the lunchroom.

As we were walking by Malachis table, keira nudged me.

"Listen to what they are talking about"
I slowed down my pace and attempted to listen as best as I could.
All I could hear was: "you gotta ask her out!"

I'm not sure who said it but it didn't matter, because, they were talking to Malachi. Once we were out of earshot and at our table, Keira started asking me about my new classes.
"You won't believe it!" I smiled
"What?" Keira looked excited.
"Malachi and I almost have every class together this trimester!"
"Are you kidding? That's great! Do you guys talk a bunch?"
"Yeah! And ya know Autumn and her bitchy friends were laughing at me and Malachi was like," I tried to do my best impression of a low voice, "ignore them, you are better than them,"
Keira looked very happy for me. She smiled and said, "that's awesome, I think he definitely likes you GiGi,"
I smiled at her. Wishing that, what she was saying was true.

A few minutes later, we were joined by the rest of our friend group. Our friend group consisted of 4 girl including myself. We weren't popular but, we were very well known and well liked. Also, I'd rather have a non toxic small friend group, than a big one where everyone hates each other, like Autumns.
"How was everyone's day so far?" I asked
"Good" Brooke smiled warmly at me.
"It was alright, my ex, Rick is in my classes" Lilly sighed.
"Ugh I hate him." Keira frowned at Lilly.
"How was yours Gi, do you have classes with cookie?" Brookes eyes widened as she waited for my response.
"Who's cookie agai- never mind, Malachi," Lilly reminder herself.
"Yeah we have almost everything together!" I exclaimed. Brooke have a very supportive smile, congratulating me and supporting my enthusiasm.

"0ne more week, including today, of this hell hole before break. I can't wait to go to Florida."
Lilly sighed. She pushed her food around. Not once did she look at us.
"You okay Lil?" I questioned, placing my hand on hers to get her attention.
"Yeah, Ricks just being annoying, that's all."
"You sure? Because if there's more. Your welcome to talk about it." Keira reassured.
"I'm fine!" Lilly snapped. She got up, threw her food away and walked out of the lunch room.
"What the fucks up with her?" Brooke looked annoyed. I gave Brooke a disappointed look, because everyone has bad days.
"What? She's always upset about something!"
As true as that was. It didn't matter.
"I'm going to check on her." Keira said, getting up and following Lilly.

Lunch was over before they came back. I walked to my next class, while walking Autumn and her friends, Crystal, and Natalia, started walking beside me.
"Gosh, how much did you eat for lunch?" Autumn snickered. I continued walking, not acknowledging them. The words stung though, I was already sensitive about my weight.

"But, she was just being a bitch right? It's not true?"
"How do your parents let you leave the house looking like this?" Natalia spat, almost like I had no human emotions.

I kept waking to class, until they gave up. I felt like crying.

"Your overreacting. It's fine. It's fine"

I repeated to myself over, and over.
Malachi tried to talk to me in the remaining classes I had with him. But, I shut down a bit. Feeling sad about if what they said was true.

Time skip ~ Cooking class

I snapped out of my mood in cooking. We got assigned kitchen groups, I was in kitchen #5 with a dirty blonde haired girl, who I later found out was Gemma and a sandy brown haired, tall boy named, Johnny. Both of them were very nice, and I don't think I have ever talked to either of them before.
"Your eyes are really pretty," Gemma smiled
"Yeah, they are." Johnny added
"Thank you, I like your sweatshirt." I pointed at Gemma's sweatshirt. We all got along very well throughout the remainder of class today. Gemma found out that she had gym next period with me next, so we walked there together. Once we got there, she ran off to her friend. I wasn't sure if her name. But, I saw Malachi and he started taking to me.

"how was cooking?"
"It was good, I'm in a group with Gemma and Johnny. They are both great" I looked back over at Gemma who was still talking to her friend.
"Johnny? Johnny Welks?" Malachi looked concerned
"I think so, why?"
"Nah, he's a creep. Stay away from him"
"What?" I thought to myself
"Oh, ok. He seems nice"
Malachi shook his head. He was going to say something but got cut off by the teacher.

She explains that we are starting our volleyball unit the week after thanksgiving break. So this week, our teacher is making us learn how to set, bump, and so on. Despite probably the whole class knowing how to do it. Accept for maybe a few of the really weird kids. Looking around my gym class, I noticed most of the kids were really, weird kids. The only normal one was Malachi.

We got to pick partners. So, Malachi and I worked on setting and bumping, but, we mainly talked the whole time. When the bell rang, Malachi and I walked back to our lockers together. Again, being confronted by Autumn and a few of her friends.
"Hiii Malachi." She smirked.
Malachi ignored her, and she walked away.

TIME SKIP - CAR RIDE HOME

"Hey kiddo, how was school" my dad asked.
"Good, how was your day?"
"Pretty good."
My relationship was a bit weird with my dad. At times it was great and others it was like he hated me.

When I got home. I took my backpack and ran up to my room.  When Malachi texted me.
