GIOVANNAS POV:

We sat down for dinner and of course my aunt had to sit Malachi and I next to each other.

Everyone helped themselves to food and so did I. I put a slice of turkey and a bit of salad on my plate. I hadn't eaten all day and my stomach was growling.

I couldn't help but notice Malachi getting a big portion of everything, but who am I to judge?

"That's all your eating?" He questioned, looking at me.
I rolled my eyes, "shut up"

"No I didn't mean it like that. It's just almost nothing. On your plate is probably like 400 calories that's nothing GiGi-"

"Don't call me that." I cut him off, not phased at all by what he said.

"Sorry, I meant Giovanna. But still, you have to eat more than that."

"Oh, so you call me fat and then you want me to eat more? Pick one Malachi."

"If you would let me expl-"

"I don't want to hear it" I just wanted to leave. Why did he have to be here?

"Please just let me explain"

As he started talking, so did my aunt.

"Thank you everyone for being here today, I appreciate and am grateful for every single one of you. Happy thanksgiving!" She toasted and everyone cheersed (idk the right spelling for that)

MALACHIS POV:

During dinner, I glanced over a few times at Giovanna and she didn't touch her plate at all.
"Is this because of what I said?"
I decided not to say anything to her, maybe she would eat in a minute. More and more time passed and she still just pushed her food around her plate. I examined her facial features and I couldn't help but notice that she did look absolutely exhausted. Her under eyes were darkened and sunken in a bit and her face was more defined.

"Are you okay?" I turned and faced her.

She didn't even look up at me, "yes, why wouldn't I be?" She continues to push her food around.

"You haven't touched your food once, come one Giovanna you can't not eat."

"Why the hell do you care? Besides, I ate at home, it doesn't matter," she looked angry and casted me a glance.

"Don't lie..."

"Shut up! Gosh you never stop fucking talking!" She raised her voice a little bit too much and the table went quiet. An awkward silence was casted over the room.

"Sorry, I was kidding." She forced a smile and a laugh.

"Please, just take a bite." I was starting to worry that something deeper was going on.

"I SAID I'm not hungry," she got up and took her plate, walking out of the room and towards the kitchen. So, I followed.

I was done too, so I grabbed my plate and followed her to the kitchen. When I walked in she was scraping her food into the trash.

"What's going on Gi?" I asked concerned and I walked over next to her.

"Nothing. I'm go-"

I cut her off, "Don't lie. please, don't lie,"

"Than don't act like you care." She snapped.

"I do care! If something is wrong than you can tell me!" I wanted her to believe me, at this point in time I had completely forgotten about what Autumn said.

"What's wrong with me!? What's wrong with you! Why did you switch up on me like this!?" She walked away and I subconsciously grabbed her arm. She turned around and glared at me.
