"TEEN ROMANCE" ~ Malachi Barton

Chapter - 16

GIOVANNAS POV:
We walk into Malachis house, and both of his parents are upstairs, probably sleeping.
Malachi jumps onto the couch and gestures for me to sit next to him, I follow his lead and take a seat beside him.

"Wanna watch something?" He asks me, grabbing the remote control for the TV.

"Yeah sure, what do you feel like?" I ask, he sits back and sinks into the couch as he turns on the TV and scrolls through movies and TV Shows.

"What genre?" He asks.

"Hmm, maybe horror? Or action adventure, or Romance." I suggest, giving movies that I'm in the mood for at the moment.

"What's like an actually good horror movie, because I swear there are none." He says.

"Woah woah woah. That is not correct, there are so many good horror movies, but I guess it depends on what you like. But do not diss the Scream movies like that." I state.

"Your just saying that because you think the killers are hot." He rolls his eyes and keeps looking for movies.

"Okay...that may be part of it. But you can't blame me! Billy from Scream 1 and Ethan from Scream 6 are so fine!" I say laughing.

Malachi rolls his eyes again and pushes me away.

"And they are also psychos!" He exclaims back laughing as well.

"Hot psychos." I correct

"Hotter than me?" Malachi blurts than quickly changes the topic.

"So what's your favorite movie?" He asks looking away.

"No." I answer, and he looks confused.

"No? No what?" He asks.

"They are not hotter than you." I state and his face lights up.

"Oh, yeah?" he smirks at me and his lips curl into a smile.

I get butterflies in my stomach and I nod. "I-uhm-I yeah" I stammer

Dear God what's happening to me?

"How about a romance movie?" Malachi asks, putting his arm around me.

"S-sure" I stammer again.

"Get a hold of yourself Giovanna!" I think

He puts on "My Girl" (if you haven't seen it please watch it it's so good!! Also spoilers ahead)

We get a few minutes into the movie and I can feel myself growing drowsy. My eyes drift closed a few times before I catch it happening and open them again.

"Tired?" Malachi asks, rubbing my arm a little.

"No" I lie, because I want to keep watching the movie with him.

MALACHIS POV:

We get farther into the movie and there's a scene where Thomas J and Veda go spy on her dad at a bingo date.

"Oh I love this part" I say, hoping for Gigi to agree with me.

"Mhm" she responds quietly, I feel more and more of her weight start to lean on me.

"Are you falling asleep?" I smile at her drowsiness.

"no" she whispers, but I can tell she's falling asleep.

I feel my cheeks grow hot and I smile at her.

She's so pretty.

A few minutes later I feel her head fall on my shoulder and I get butterflies.
