The rest of break went by pretty quick. I tried my hardest not to eat and I could tell that I was losing weight. It felt good. I couldn't stop, I just kept wanting to lose more weight. Maybe if I did, Malachi would like me again.

Thanksgiving day was the worst of all of them. I really didn't want to eat, but I know my parents would know if I did or didn't.

THANKSGIVING DAY
I woke up this morning with no motivation at all. I rolled over and groaned, before pulling out my phone to check the time. It read
"11:23" maybe staying up till 1 AM every night was not the best idea.

MALACHIS POV:
I woke up the morning of Thanksgiving. I pulled out my phone and swiped on to TikTok. I scrolled for a bit before getting out of bed and starting a shower.
"I wonder what Giovanna's doing right now"
I caught myself thinking about her a lot over break, and was tempted to text her every moment of every day. I brushed off the thought and got into the shower. I still couldn't believe she was using me for popularity.

After I got out of the shower, I pulled out a sweatshirt and some pajama pants before I headed downstairs for breakfast. My mom was placing pancakes and some bacon on the table.
"Hey hunny, how'd you sleep?" She smiled and put a plate in front of me.
"Good" I picked up the syrup and poured some on my pancakes before picking up my fork and shoveling it into my mouth.
"That's good."
"I wonder if my mom would like Giovanna."
"What? Why- no"
Maybe if I would have talked it out with her. I wish I had, maybe Autumn was lying.
"Why would Autumn lie about that?"

GIOVANNAS POV:
At around 5:00 PM my family and I got ready to go to my aunts house for dinner.
"Let's go! Everyone out the door, we are going to be late!" My moms voice echoed through my house and into my room. I had spent the past hour getting ready and picking up an outfit. I put on a tank top and walked to the bathroom connected to my room. I turned to the side to see if my stomach stuck out or not.

"No wonder Malachi thinks your fat"

I had been saying and thinking stuff like that a lot recently. It was almost a habit now, I never had anything positive to say about my self. I walked back into my room and grabbed a sweater from my closet to put over the tank top. I had on a pair of lose jeans and I walked downstairs.

MALACHIS POV:

For some reason, we were going to my moms best friends house for dinner. It would be us and her friends family, but that would be it.
I wore baggy jeans and a sweater. We pulled up to the house and parked our car.
"Maybe someone else my age would be here"
I have only seen my moms friend once before, so I was not very familiar with her or her extended family.

We walked into the house and there was very loud talking and music.
"What is this a frat party?" I joked to my dad. He let out a chuckle before we were greeted by Amanda, who was apparently my moms friend.

"Oh my gosh! Look at you, you just keep on growing!" Amanda pulled me into a hug.

"Heh, yeah..."

"Come on, I think I have a girl you would love to meet!" She pulled my hand and I followed her into the kitchen. I was lucky my jaw didn't visibly drop.
"She's everywhere."

"Giovanna, hunny. Come here! There is someone I would love for you to meet!"

There she was. The girl I had been thinking about all break. Why did she have to be here? How was she here?

GIOVANNAS POV:

My aunt called me over, because I guess I had to meet someone. I finished a conversation with my mom. When I turned, my heart stopped.
"Why is he here? Why is he here!?"
I hope I didn't look as distraught as I felt because that would certainly make this situation ever more awkward. I walked over with my head down.

"Giovanna, this is Malachi-"

"Yep...we know each other..." I smiled awkwardly.

"Oh! That's great what a small world!" She laughed before walking off.

"So..." he rocked forward and backward, trying to break the silence.

"Why are you here?" I wanted to slap him so bad. How could he just act like everything was normal?

"My mom made me come..." he looked down.

"I wish she hadn't" I muttered under my breath.

"I heard that." He snapped, looking slightly offended.

"My bad" I said sarcastically.

"What's wrong with you, you look exhausted?" His eyebrows furrowed.

"Wow thanks for the compliment. You look pretty bad yourself." Ugh how could someone be so annoying but perfect at the same time!

MALACHIS POV:

This conversation was getting heated fast. I didn't mean for her to be mad at me, I wanted to explain myself so bad but I just didn't know how.

"Wow thanks for the compliment. You look pretty bad yourself" she made a snarky remark. I couldn't help but laugh at.

"At least I'm not fat" my voice faded out mid sentence but she clearly heard it.

"Gosh Malachi what the fuck happened? I thought we were close!" Here eyes watered and she walked away.

"What the hell is wrong with you!? Why would you say that! Idiot!"

I hated that I said that to her, or that the thought even came across my mind. It wasn't even true either. She looked so pretty too.

A/N: hey guys! This chapter is kind of short so I hope you don't mind. Sorry I haven't updated in a while I was just to lazy to right anything. But, I really hope you enjoyed this party and I will try to write more often! Thanks! Have a great day!
