"William, will ya go away?" Eliza said in an annoyed groan as William followed her around the kitchen while she made herself a sandwich.

"Elizabeth, I really need to talk to you."

"Will, just because you're stayin' here doesn't mean the two of us have to-"

"Elizabeth, this is about Alastor!" William said a little too loudly for his liking, his frustration reaching a peak, "I don't always think about you and you alone!"

Eliza blinked, feeling like her brain was having to take a step back and process what he just said, "...ya wanna talk about Al?"

"Yes."

"Why?"

"I..." William looked away from here, starring at the floor as he let out a long sigh, as if preparing himself for what he was about to say, "I want to get to know my son."

That made Elizabeth almost drop her plate when she heard him, unable to stop anger from starting to rise into her chest. All of those years she'd spent raising Alastor on her own after he'd abandoned them. She felt offended that now, after all this time, after the three of them had died, only know did he want to get to know his son, to be his father. It took everything she had not to slap him into next year on the spot.

"I know what you're thinking." William said, seeing the rage in Elizabeth's eyes, "And you're right. I have no place trying to be in his life when I intentionally left it in the first place."

"Ya damn right about that."

"That's why I'm asking you." William took a step closer to Elizabeth, a pleading look in his eyes, "Elizabeth, I'm not asking any favors, I'm simply asking that if you think there's a sliver of a chance that I could be a better father to Alastor, that you show me the way."

"And if I tell ya to go screw yerself?"

"Then I won't bring it up again."

Elizabeth leaned against the counter, contemplating for a bit, "If I agree, ya gotta swear that ya will do everythin' to be a good father to my boy."

There was a glimmer of hope in William's eyes, "Of course."

"And if ya leave him like ya left me," Eliza took a step closer to William, a deadly look in her eye, "Then I will hunt your spineless, whiter than white ass down and show ya how my mamas' taught me to handle men." For a moment, a chilling green glow flashed behind Elizabeth's eyes, making a chill run up Will's spine.

"I-I swear I won't leave again." William managed to say through the overwhelming fear Elizabeth was instilling in him.

"Good." Eliza backed off, crossing her arms over her chest, "Now let's get started."
