The latter couldn't suppress a silent groan, regretting his inquiry about an Omega in his class that had set off a chain of teasing from his friends.
"Hahaha! Lee Soo Hyuk, could it be our little boy has found his rare pearl and will forget us now?" Choi Jun playfully took his Alpha's hands, scrutinizing Kim Rok Soo with the eyes of a mother watching their son leave the family nest.
Amused, Lee Soo Hyuk joined in, adding, "Kim Rok, look at the state your mother is in because of you!" Kim Rok Soo responded with a stoic expression, cursing the duo silently.
Choi Jun, still caught up in the teasing, snapped back to reality, saying, "Sorry, but in all the years we've known each other, this was the first time I saw you ask for information about a person!"
Expressionless but slightly annoyed, Kim Rok Soo explained, "It was normal, I wanted to give her back her book."
Choi Jun, feigning disinterest, retorted, "Yes, yes, if you say so." Unbeknownst to Kim Rok, Choi Jun was aware that the same Omega had sought Kim's contacts.
Choi Jun couldn't help feeling guilty, thinking that his words might have cost Kim Rok a potential partner.
He remembered confusing the Omega about the courage Omegas should have toward Alphas.
"How do you expect me to help you? You should acquire Omega powers before asking for his contacts, not from me but from himself!" Choi Jun emphasized, reflecting on his own role in the unfolding drama.
Feeling a twinge of guilt, Choi Jun invited the trio for a meal, remarking, "I think you boys, especially you Kim Rok, don't eat enough!" Despite Kim's desire to refuse, they found themselves on the way to the cafeteria.
As they walked, Lee and Jun were in their world, leaving Kim with a persistent frown that would undoubtedly fuel more laughter from Choi Jun and Lee.
Unconsciously, even Kim let out a small chuckle, feeling the camaraderie despite the teasing.
