Despite his complex nature, Cale was a composed and fascinating individual. Kim Rok Soo often pondered that if anyone's personality mirrored his, it would be Cale's.
However, Cale possessed an intimidating aura that was palpable from their first encounter at the academy. Everything from his demeanor to his penetrating gaze hinted at a depth of emotion that was simultaneously captivating and terrifying.
Kim Rok Soo found himself wondering why the very same person he had resolved to avoid during his academy days was now seated before him, emanating an unexpected sense of tranquility.
They were sipping bitter tea, served by a grinning butler, in a setting that strangely put him at ease. With his guard momentarily lowered, Kim Rok Soo allowed himself to appreciate the striking beauty of Cale, who ranked among the top five most attractive people at the academy. His fiery red hair and fine facial features contrasted with his sharp eyes, a combination that many found irresistible.
"Are we admiring the view, huh?" Cale queried, a playful smirk tugging at his lips as he anticipated a blush creeping onto Kim Rok Soo's face.
"Yes, indeed, the flowers behind you are quite captivating," Kim Rok Soo responded, his expression unchanged. His gaze was fixed on Cale's brief frown, which came and went so swiftly that he would have missed it had he not been observing Cale so intently.
Despite Cale's attractiveness, he wasn't Kim Rok Soo's preferred type.
Ron, the butler who stood midway between his young master and the intriguing guest, followed Kim Rok Soo's gaze to the flowers.
The supposedly captivating blooms were long dead and dried out, hardly deserving the title of flowers. He turned back to Kim Rok Soo, suppressing a chuckle at the young man's audacity.
Cale, on the other hand, was not particularly pleased with Kim Rok Soo's response. Despite his awareness of his own allure, it irked him that this Alpha seemed to view him as unappealing.
The trio, each with their own thoughts, sat in silence until they were interrupted by the opening of the roof door.
"Kim Rok Soo! Where—" Choi Jun , dressed in a sky-blue Hanbok, was searching for Kim Rok Soo and paused mid-sentence when his gaze fell on Kim Rok Soo and Cale, who were sitting harmoniously, sipping tea.
His eyes widened at the unexpected sight. A sense of misfortune washed over Kim Rok Soo as he met Choi Jun's gaze.
