The car pulls into the driveway, and i catch my first glimpse of the house. It's incredible, but i'm still not entirely sure if it looks like the sort of place Stevie would live in.

"We're here," Jack says, getting out the car to open my door. "you can head inside, i'll bring the bags."

I open the front door, taking a hesitant step inside. I jump slightly as i'm greeted by a loud squeal.

"Oh my goodness!!!!" Sharon says, excitedly. "Lori, they're here!"

I grin as i'm crushed in a hug from Sharon just as Lori comes skipping through seconds later, and i hug her too.

"It's been too long, Pierre!" Lori smiles, hugging me again. Jack enters, also greeted with screams from Sharon and Lori.

"Jack! How are you?!"

I stare around for Stevie, but she's nowhere to be seen. I haven't actually met her yet, and i'm so excited and nervous i feel kinda lightheaded. I met Sharon and Lori over the summer, when they came over to talk with me about the whole project with Stevie, after Jack had mentioned it to me. He didn't specify who, but i guessed pretty quickly when my favourite singer's backup girls came to ask me if i wanted to work on a possible album project with them. Originally, i was meant to be a photographer for the album cover, but soon they realised i had musical talent too, and gave me both jobs.
"No pressure, of course," Sharon had said, assuringly. "you're just so talented!"

I agreed to do both, as long as i wasn't too stressed with having 2 jobs for the project. The girls promised me i would be fine, and we agreed everything later at dinner that night. So, here i am 3 months later, standing in Stevie Nicks' house. Standing in my favourite person's house.

Suddenly, i realise i'm in her house and feel even more giddy.

The house is huge, but i still can't entirely picture Stevie living here. It doesn't seem like the type of place for a woman that sings about doves, witches and crystal visions.

"Come on, your room will be up here." Lori grabs my hand, dragging me up the stairs.

My shoes squeak slightly as we run along the hardwood floor in the hall. She leads me to a gorgeous bedroom, with tall windows, a double bed with the frame similar to the one i have back home, and an en suite bathroom. The furniture is mostly coloured natural wood, giving the room a rustic feel to it. This is exactly how i wanted my room to be when it got redone back home. I turn to Lori, raising my eyebrow.

"How did you know-"

"Uh huh, we heard you nattering to your friends in the summer about your bedroom," she says, giving me an exaggerated wink. "so we - Stevie, rather - wanted it perfect for you here."

I smile slightly. "Thankyou,"

"Of course! Dinner is soon, about 5 ish." She says, before leaving the room. I nod as the door closes behind her. I let out a long, slow breath. I can't believe this is happening, i'm actually in Stevie Nicks' house. My favourite person's house. I sit down on the edge of my bed, kicking my feet excitedly. This is actually happening.

It feels like only 10 minutes when the bedroom door opens just as I'm about to get up.

"Hey," Sharon says. "dinner's ready. You coming?"

I nod, following her downstairs. Suddenly i'm kinda nervous again, but I still can't see Stevie. Sharon notices me glancing around, and laughs lightly.

"She'll be down soon, she's been in her room writing all day."

"Makes sense," I say, shrugging. Jack and Sharon sit down on either side of me, pouring drinks for eachother.

"What makes sense?"

I turn around, knowing that husky voice can only belong to one person.
