I wake up on the sofa in the living room. I don't even remember falling asleep here, but apparently i did.
A few moments later, the door opens and everyone comes through, including Lindsey.
I sit up, shifting to the edge of the sofa so that someone can sit beside me.
Lori slumps down in Stevie's rocking chair by the fireplace, and Sharon stands beside her, leaning against the wall.
Unfortunately, im stuck with Stevie and Lindsey. Lindsey sits down beside me, and Stevie follows suit, before moving over so she's curled up on his lap.
I look away from them both and stare into the fire instead, wishing that i could just disappear.
Or maybe Stevie and Lindsey could disappear, that would probably be better.
I'm about to get up and leave actually, but Lori clears her throat importantly, shifting so that she's sitting up properly in the chair.
"So, slight change of plans," Lori says, also trying desperately to ignore Stevie and Lindsey, who are both whispering and giggling like a pair of 5 year olds. "We're going on tour."
I pause, trying to figure out the emotions going on inside me right now: shock, excitement, anxiety, frustration.
"I'm sorry, Pierre, i know we planned to do an album but-"
Lindsey cuts Lori off, scoffing. "What're you apologising to him for?"
"Because he's younger than the rest of us, and might not want to come on tour," Lori says, her voice shaking slightly as she tries to remain calm.
"Pierre, this is Lindsey, as you know."
Lindsey says nothing, too busy braiding Stevie's hair.
"Nice to meet you too." i say, teeth gritted. Lori sighs dramatically before continuing.
"It's not a major tour, just a few weeks or so. It's just to promote Stevie's upcoming album and Fleetwood Mac's most recent album."
I nod, not really seeing any problem with it so far. I was excited about the album, but touring sounds fun too. At least i'll not be sitting around the house all day.
"And don't freak out or whatever, but we're leaving tomorrow. Preferably." Lori finishes, watching me carefully as if she expects me to pull a Lindsey and blow up at her.
"'Kay. Sounds cool," I say, shrugging. "i'll need to tell Kesi though."
Stevie pulls away from Lindsey a little to look over at me, her eyebrows raised, but i ignore her.
"Oh, the girl from the coffee shop?" Sharon asks, smirking. I roll my eyes, nodding.
"Yes, if that's what you're going to call her. She's really nice, honestly."
Lori glances at Sharon briefly before they both nod in agreement. "She can come with us, if you want."
"Really?" i gasp, jumping up from the sofa to hug Lori. "Thankyou you guys!! She'll be so excited!"
I'd already been out with Kesi a few times since we met, but im really happy to be with her.
We weren't officially a couple or anything yet, but not gonna lie i was starting to get my hopes up. She distracts me from worrying about Stevie, and she never fails to make me happy. She's all i need, really.
"I'm gonna go call her," i say, skipping upstairs to my room.
I'm about to dial her number as i hear someone yell angrily downstairs.
Stevie? Lindsey?
shake my head and ignore the shouting, dialling Kesi's number. She picks up almost straight away.
"Hey," i say, grinning.
"Pierre!" she squeals. "Hi! What's up?"
I hesitate, suddenly unsure if this is too big a step for her.
What if she freaks out and leaves me? I scowl, telling myself to stop catastrophising the problems even more.
"Pierre, you okay?" she asks, anxiously.
I sigh, still worried that this could go horribly wrong.
"So uh, dyou wanna come on tour with Stevie Nicks?"
