The frosty winter air bit at my nose, though it barely bothered me one bit. I couldn't really tell the weather was below freezing. My heavy black leather boots were slowing me down even more than the large mounds of snow already did, sending waves of frustration through my entire being that I wasn't able to get there already.

I just hoped she was still alive... After what I had done to her.

I shook that terrible thought from my head as I ignored the blizzard that threatened to blow me right off my own two feet. It was so strong that I couldn't run anymore. I tried to shield my eyes from the storm with my forearms while adding one more step to get closer to my final destination.

"Fuck!" I exclaimed as I got buried waist-high in snow after I stepped in the wrong place. I struggled to crawl out as the snow got everywhere into my clothes and shoes, making me cringe at the wet cold feeling. I grimaced at the unpleasantness of it, but sucked it up and kept going.

"Walking isn't going to get me anywhere!" One thing about vampires is that while most are able to turn into bats, some of us can turn into other animals, like wolves, rats or owls. I, on the other hand, could turn into a fox. My weight was working against me so I had no other choice but to transform.

I slid my shirt off my upper body, exposing myself to the coldness of the snow. Then my boots, my trousers and then my body was in a complete shortage of fabric. The remaining stray rays of sun were already attacking my milky white skin, but the pain stopped once that skin turned into soft red fur. I grabbed my clothes off the ground and hid them under a bunch of leaves that were buried beneath the snow.

Running was much easier without sinking into the soft hail because of your own weight. Large flakes were getting caught into my fur as I made my way through the forest, occasionally being accompanied by the familiar howl of a wolf.

'What the hell?!'

Only then had I realized that Tom was still following me and he was probably going to rip me to shreds if he got a hold of me!
