¡Long chapter - 4340 words!

The girl sighed in defeat after being persuaded by the insistent vampire and tried to make her way upstairs.

"Where are you going?"

Once again, Bill stopped her in her tracks by swiftly grasping her wrist. She had a confused look on her face.

"What... Why can't I go upstairs?"

He gave her a look, subliminally trying to make her understand what him stopping her was really about.

"Oh... You didn't mean to do that now... or did you?"

That uncomfortable feeling instantly returned once she realized that he needed an immediate response to his request and it was not just a rethorical question. A lump formed in her throat as beads of sweat slowly began to gather on her nape. She pursed her lipsed in frustration and averted her gaze.

"Please say yes." He said affected, his hand barely brushing against her shoulder. His invasive self cunningly made his way to her heart, akin to a heinous serpent. The oldest, most self-destructive sin a girl could commit is to fall for the words of the devil. Not so different from Eve, Rachel was under the man's spell, tightly holding onto her with no chances of escape.

"No... No, I don't think I can-"

"Rachel."

He said unyielding, making her look him directly in the eye. Was that another vampire power or was it just his own hex to make someone so captured by his enchanting orbs? She waited for him to speak as her breath hitched the longer she gazed at his face.

"If you're too scared of us both, then at least let me do it. Are you scared of me too?"

He asked the last sentence with a certain musicality to it. She hesitantly nodded a "no" response. He took it immediately and wasted no other second.
