"I'm not surprised I wasn't called to attend the funeral, especially when it seemed that the Madame disliked me, it would be disrespectful." I sat at the reception of the shop, it was an early morning and we had little to no customers because of the time. I twirled a strand of my hair as I leaned back in my chair, bored out of my mind. It was a week ago that Madame Red's funeral was held, and since then the weather had begun to drop, snow becoming more frequent.
"I have almost a whole month to kill before the next events..." I sigh before leaning on my hand as my eyes stare at the clock on the wall before Ash comes back into the room with two plates in hand, I raise from my position to look up at him, "What's that?"
"I heard you mumbling in your sleep about wanting french toast," He chuckled as he set the plates down on the reception table, "So I did just that," Instead of sitting down and eating with me, he went up to the door and instead flipped the sign, making it say "closed" before coming back and taking a seat next to me,
"Thank you but, why'd you do that?" I picked up a fork and stabbed it into the delicacy, referring to how he flipped the sign,
He took a bite off his plate before smiling, "I figured we could take a week or so to ourselves, you haven't had one break since you arrived, don't you think it's time for one?" The angel somehow managed to finish his plate before walking behind me and placing his warm gloved hands on my shoulders, a sudden warmth enveloping me as my muscles almost instantly relaxed, leaning into his touch.
I sigh as I finish my own plate, closing my eyes as he begins to give me a small massage, "I suppose so, but what could we do?" I opened my eyes again as I stared at the ceiling. Ash loomed over me, his shadow casting over me as his pale blue eyes looked down at me with a smile,
"Anything, there's a lot of things to do, festivals and such," My eyes widened a little and I could feel my face redden from the close proximity before I stood up from the chair and turned my back to him, coughing into my hand as I distract myself from what just happened.
"Well then, I suppose there's no harm in indulging oneself once in a while..." I stammer a little in fear of messing up my wording as Ash tilts his head, quirking a brow at my change in behaviour.
"You're so formal all of a sudden, we aren't even outside and it's just the two of us here"
"Yes, yes it's a great song but I shall go get changed now thank you very much" I quickly spurt out a few words before taking quick steps to my room and shutting...or slamming the door on a very confused angel.
"A song?"
Meanwhile, in my room, I had managed to find appropriate clothing for the temperature-dropping climate. Lifting my curtain just the tiniest bit to take a peek outside, it was still snowing as it was this morning, yet much less. I wasn't exactly sure where we would be going, however, assuming it was going to be something calm...I don't exactly see Ash planning something large.
