Hey, have a good Christmas or whatever your household celebrates? I suppose it's not affecting me but I thought I would ask. Anyway, let me tell you a proper story now all that drama from previous chapters is done with. This one's about a boy who is blinded by his emotions.

Jack was your average boy, he had a decent amount of friends, had a normal job, he was an all around average guy. However, Jack had one area in his life which was not average, girls, guys, undefined beings, he wasn't attracted to any of them. This wasn't a bad thing though as Jack found love and romance to be a waste of time, any date his friends set up for him never worked out. However, one day Jack meant Hailey. Hailey was a petite girl, she had brown hair and blue eyes. She was something else, she liked staying indoors, she watched TV almost religiously, she was perfect in Jack's eyes. Soon he asked her out and she said yes. So they went to a nice diner on the outskirts of town, it's checkerboard tiles were slightly dulled and cracked, but the food was great. Jack and Hailey talked as the waited for their food, discussing hobbies and where they went to collage. Jack thinking on more then one occasion about how confused he was about his sexuality. Was he Aro? If not, why did he not feel any romantical attraction until today? He never felt that same feeling his peers in school felt when a shared glance was enough to get them thinking they were soulmates. If he is Ace, was he just one that felt little romantic attraction? His thoughts were interrupted as Hailey snapped him out of his daze as their food arrived. After eating they left the diner and went to Hailey's place. They sipped wine as they chatted and watched CNN and a news bulletin went up about the Scarecrow Killer, a title they dubbed the killer for their habit of filling their victims with straw and leaving them in the middle of fields, looking like normal scarecrows at a distance. Hailey then points to a picture of a scarecrow and says,

"That was my best one in my opinion." and she looks over at Jack who is still on the couch, sipping his wine. "How's the wine?" she asks, "Taste okay?"

"Better with no poison in it. Unlike yours." he responds as he points to her nearly empty wine glass. "I switched them, your not very observant for a serial killer. I supposed that's why I found out who you were though, you were sloppy, evidence all over the place. You were lucky I cleaned the places up, I couldn't have the cops finding you before me though." As Hailey looked in shock, she felt the poison take effect. "Don't worry, we both now it's a sedative, the damage on the bodies showed you gut your victims alive and awake. I would have used insulin if you wanted to kill someone using poison, police can't detect it so it looks like the person died from the procedure."

"W-Why?" Hailey managed to say as she swiftly lost consciousness. Jack looked down at her and said,

"Why? Because your sloppy, you give us killers a bad name, the police don't even know my crimes have happened yet and I've been killing for years now and..." Jack stops as he realizes Hailey is knocked out. "Hm, unfortunate you couldn't stay awake for my long winded motives but you can't win them all I suppose. Now to send a message to any other wannabes who think they could get away with murder." As Jack made sure to properly kill Hailey he stopped for a moment, finding he felt no more attraction to Hailey, and in light of this he thought to himself, "Everything's back to normal."

So, what did you think? Was the twist to easy to guess? Well I'll try to do better next time, until next time, and remember, always let the darkness in.
